Any one has problems of maps not showing on the app's mains screen? I have a spark without controller with latest version on both aircraft and phone. My phone is an iphone 7 plus. Anyone knows how to fix that? It should be displayed?
  

Do you have a good internet connection? The Go app downloads the maps for the area you're in when you first start it. I've noticed with AT&T, I need at least 2 bars of service to download maps when tethered to my phone. Best way is to start the app with a good internet connection, either WiFi or cell,  then navigate around the map to where you're going to fly. Do not close the app or you'll lose the maps.

I have a good internet using 4G. Please check the attached picot of spark's app screen. There is no map at all!

Seems they removed it in a last update - but it makes no sense, how are you supposed to check your home point "on the map" ? ;)

Hope that will be fixed soon

I only connect with phone (over wifi) and the map box is there. I wish it was smaller, or just an icon to switch to it. I feel it takes up too much screen space on a small phone screen.

What is the phone model and OS version are you using? I tried with an android phone and the map is not showing as well.

On Android was never a map when using a phone as remote only.
On iOS the map was removed in the last go update for smartphone only control.

I got a answer back from DJI support...

Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra, running Android 7. I use the RC, and get the map box, but no map behind it. I don't care for the box at all.

same here,spark no map,phone only or controller+phone,no map at all.
If i just run the DJI GO 4 and without Connect to the spark,i can see the map.but When I  Connect to the spark,the map will Disappear immediately,and there's no way to turn it on,What should I do?

do you connect to the Spark or to the Remote Controller?
Correct way is to power on the rc, then the spark. Connect to the RC Wifi and open DJI GO. You should see the map on the bottom left in the Spark View.

There is a little icon in the corner of the map to collapse it to a small icon

Can't get the map working on ios or Android.
If I reinstall on the ipad mini, I see the cache map option but it disappears when I restart DJI Go 4.
On Android, I've downloaded an offline map but it still doesn't appear when connected to the Spark.
Only way I can see a map is when disconnected from the Spark and connected to the internet.

I bought it! Now every thing is ok!!!

I have the little screen on the lower left corner but no info is displayed, only a white square, when i go to settings on my GO4 app i see that my map is only made for china as it says something like china maps coordinates, and china maps locations eventhought i live in Spain in Europe...so a bit weird and my latest version of GO4 app is requesting for a chinese mainland number so i can link my AC with the RC, so im have flown with an earlier version of the GO4 app. Still waiting for an answer from the administrators to solve my problem, and by the way my drone is completly new and bought from the official DJI web store.

Made sure maps cached for mainland china is not enabled in general settings within the app.

Hi I'm can't get maps on my iPhone 5s (Spark) DJI go 4 app but can on my android tablet app. In the general settings of apps  on the tablet there is setting to "Show Fight Route" an "Clear Flight Route but not on the iPhone app. I have "here we go" maps downloaded to both tablet and iphone.
Can anyone help?

You will never get an answer now. Just see.

Ive bought a new mavic air 2 months ago and tried with 3 phones and finally even bought the DJI approved phone as listed on their website. Still my map box is only empty. Never shows the offline saved map. Im using Android 7 Redmi Note 5 (approved on DJI site) and flying only with RC. Phone is in Airplane mode and i only fly offline, no wifi, BT, or even sim card in the phone. At home i use the Wifi and downloaded the map and saved it. Then i go and fly offline, why should i be on internet when i fly. Its supposed to work. That's why its called OFFLINE MAP.

I can only see a map within my DJI go 4 app if I connect to WiFi first. Then I see a map and then I connect to my spark. If I connect to the spark first, no map is available. This is a problem if I am not near a WiFi connection when I want to fly my drone.
