Proceed with extreme caution. After proceeding with this upgrade (26/07/2017 version), one of my batteries has died this morning. I got the infamous "inconsistent firmware" message after switching batteries despite having made the upgrade with a fully charged one. I can't switch off the battery and it stays with the 2 middle LEDs always ON. It won't charge with the hub either (red status LED). I will try to revive the battery with the wall charger instead and see if it can recover. If not, I'll go for an RMA through DJI support.

maybe try downgrading and then try the update a second time with that battery?

I updated the RC, AC and all my batteries... but I still waiting now for the Dji Go App update... For android device, S8+. Living in Reunion Island.

My Android 4.1.4 update came in this morning. Seems it was released, removed due to a glitch and then re-released. which is why some got it earlier and others are just now seeing it.

I'm wondering if those who got the first release should reinstall with the latest 4.1.4 posted on the play store.

Hi the voice promts work when in gesture mode meaning that it tells you what is happening. eg the ladies voice will say palm launch activated or face recognised.
at first i though of it as our voice to command it do what we want it to, but no its not like that.
By the way you need to have your phone connected to hear the voice prompts

Oh...OK....Like you, I thought it meant that we would say a command and the Spark would respond to what we told it to do.  Thanks for the clarification.  I haven't had a chance to fly since upgrading everything,.

After updating the firmware the remote controller still disconnects after 150 meters. And wifi bug for europe is not fixed either. Just disappointing....

Dji moderators, Natalia, Thor, Mindy, please tell us why not fixed WiFi for EU in this FW !!!! It is HW problem??

Yes, tell us please !

Completed final update of RC and 3 Dji spark batteries. It is true that you MUST reconnect and run the DJI go 4 App with each battery. So that the App will verify the battery has the newest firmware update. Once it has ran the Spark must be rebooted and reconnect with the app and it will do it's verification. Although it's time consuming with extra batteries. You should do this before you go out to fly. Full flight test is this Saturday.

I have taken picture with gesture and it is not 4k Just 12mpx

If you're getting 12mp, then your Spark is working correctly. Prior to this firmware release, the gesture photos were 1440x1080 (<2mp).

Also, in my opinion (and unless explained other rationals) this type of procedure reflect the fact that they are not so confident in what they are doing (beta test without the name...)

If you tap a particular quickshot icon (Dronie, Helix, etc) another time, you'll see a distance slider come up.

The funny thing is that yesterday I updated RC and Spark firmware.

Firmware update complete on the plane, RC, app, and all 3 batteries. Everything took. Heading to Santa Cruz this weekend to try it out. Has anybody had issues with charging all 3 batteries at once after the update? I could have sworn prior to the update that the triple charger would charge all 3 simultaneously. But now, it shows one battery charging, and when its full, moves onto the next, and then the last. Thoughts? Can anyone else confirm?

I did my update yesterday, but it wouldn't run over OTG to controller. I had to pair my phone to the AC. Anyone else notice this? Anxious to try fixes and features. Thanks DJI.

What's up Dji? The latest firmware did more damage.  Please fix it.  Otherwise this spark will be returned. It should have been a drone for beginners!

I am curious - it maybe a bit danger - but a quick short circuit may cause a fuse will cut power and turn off the battery. However i do not know in which pins make a short circuit.
Of course - yes it may damage the battery permanent.

It absolutely would charge all three at the same time.  The Mavic does not, but the Spark definitely did.  That would be disappointing if they changed it to sequential only charging for the Spark.

Do you mean the icon on the bottom of the screen?
I simply cannot get a distance slider to come up. Nothing happens when I tap a quickshot icon again.

DJI, could you elaborate on why Dronie isn't working? That was literally the one reason I purchased the Spark, and it's frustrating to hear it's still not resolved.

Yes, at the bottom of the screen. I'm not sure why it's not working for you. What is the make/model of your mobile device?

There's definitely some magic to it. Before the firmware update, mine usually charged all 3 at the same time. Sometimes though, it would charge one first before the others.

I have 3 discharged batteries waiting at home. I'll let you know what happens when I charge them (I already did the firmware update).

You raise one arm up at a 45 degree angle to start recording. It can be seen with the other gestures in the app

Dronie still does not climb and does not obey the distance settings. I set mine to 10M and it barely climbed and went over 45M before i had to stop it

I'm happy to confirm that I have all 3 batteries charging at the same time after the firmware upgrade. Your charger must be prioritizing one of your batteries for some reason.

Is anyone having a problem taking selfies on gesture mode after the firmware update? I only got it twice in more than 100 attempts.

Switching back to old firmware until DJI gets it done correctly.

How can I switch back?

I'm sorry, my mistake. I thought I read it in the manual..

Just flew 3 more batteries with new fw and software. Second time since upgrading. Rarely could get video gesture to work (once). Even selfie photo gesture didn't work as consistently as before.

Still had issue with palm launch. Two out of six times it took off and suddenly flew 3 ft to the side.

Still had same issue with flyaway with the helix quick shot. Yesterday after the update Circle would stop about halfway around then start and stop the rest of the way. Tried it once today and worked okay.

Using RC and iPad 3.

I think the iPad 3 performance is not enough for Dji Go 4. I often get mobile device overload with iPad mini 4 but never on iPhone 6s plus. May I suggest you to try with newer model as good as 6s
