Im looking for suggestions for a case to protect my "soon to be delivered" Phantom. Anyone suggest a good one? I would love one of the hard plastic cases similar to my pelican cases i use for firearms, but not for $200.
So anyone that has suggestions would be great.

I first bought one of the hard plastic cases with pre-cut foam then decided it was too big and heavy for just storage and carrying it in my SUV. So I sent it back and got this one.

I'm extremely happy with the Blurex case.       Fit's the phantom and all of your gear like a glove.    Water proof, not too heavy.      Very well made.

What about a case that fits the P2V with the wider/ taller landing gear? I know the foam can be cut to fit the width, but im conserned about the height. I need approx 11 inches so the lid will close.

SO.. It has interior demensions of 8.50 in height.. Is that measurement from top to bottom plastic housing or is it with the foam installed? My quad will just fit in there with taller landing gear as long as that includes the foam as well. Buit i have a bad feeling its just the bare box.

I have the P2V+ V3.   Plenty of room in the Blurex case.   Can fit everything else too (batteries, charger, accessories and can even be modified to fit removable guards if needed.    Not bad for under $150.

I got one of these - folks said the Phantom fits:
http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/22-24120

But I never tried it - still sitting on my basement floor. I find that the Phantom is fairly hardy when the pro guards and gimbal lock, etc. are in place. I often transport it upside down just sitting on a car seat...

Today I developed a new sling....I wanted to take it on my bike but only had a small backpack, so the control went in the backpack and I used a heavy duty zip tie (which is removable) to strap it to the rear of the backpack - with the top of the Phantom against the rear of the backpack.

I traveled many miles, flew, and then came back. Nothing came loose and I felt very confident about my bird.

For travel or to ship I used the original box, which I place inside another box if using UPS, etc.

I think the remote is more fragile than the Phantom...the switches and antenna, etc.

You can use one with the pick and pluck foam and save money, but the precut ones are just so nice.

I use mine as a landing pad as well.  Works great.  Love the yellow color!  When I got my case (HPRC2700) I was only given the choice of black.  When I go on their site now I see you can get it in yellow like yours, red or blue.

I didn't get the wheeled version though.  Many of the places I plan on flying wheels wouldn't make it.  I like everything I got in my kit, but I never thought about how heavy it all would be once in the case and I am carrying it.

I'll post pictures of mine this weekend.  I just bought individual items and built my own.  Came in under 80 US dollars.  Not really the thing you can carry very well, doesn't fit with prop guards (have quick release ordered) but works well with handle wheels and mirrors on top.

Mine stands about 8.50 tall with modified landing gear. I think it may be to tight a fit for my taste. Thanks.
