I got one of these - folks said the Phantom fits:

But I never tried it - still sitting on my basement floor. I find that the Phantom is fairly hardy when the pro guards and gimbal lock, etc. are in place. I often transport it upside down just sitting on a car seat...
Today I developed a new sling....I wanted to take it on my bike but only had a small backpack, so the control went in the backpack and I used a heavy duty zip tie (which is removable) to strap it to the rear of the backpack - with the top of the Phantom against the rear of the backpack.
I traveled many miles, flew, and then came back. Nothing came loose and I felt very confident about my bird.
For travel or to ship I used the original box, which I place inside another box if using UPS, etc.
I think the remote is more fragile than the Phantom...the switches and antenna, etc. |
