before live flights, can I plug my DJI remote into a monitor or TV using a usb to show the DJI go camera and map action in large format??

You need to have hdmi module bulit in your remote and connect it with hdmi cable. Not usb

UH.....how the heck do I do that?

The module cost about 100 bucks. Check on youtube , and look for building in hdmi module phantom. A little precision work but with small screwdriver and little plyer you can do this.
