My Inspire has been flying great. This is not a complaint, just an observation.

It seems that my Ipad Air2 goes black (the entire screen) at the time when my recording files are spanning.

It lasts about 10 seconds but, I did notice it happens at the same time, which is right at the time it starts to write to another file.
The files drop in my edits seemlessly so, the split recording files have not been an issue.

Just wondering if anyone else notices this screen blackout issue?

I have had this happen with my Air 2 as well on three or four recent flights. Lasted about 20 secs. Guess it's just one of the many glitches in this platform that we have to work around. I've got the latest FW, yes.

Mine has completely shut off but only when operating near someone else with an Inspire in flight.

Same thing happened a few times with my iPad mini 3. At one point I had to completely shutdown and restart the DJI-Pilot app to get the camera feed again.

Have you changed the decoder from GCU to the CPU?  Most of the drops occur with the A8 processor of the Air 2.

Thanks for your reply, Ed. Is that the same as 'Enable Hardware Decode' in the app? If so then yes, it's enabled. Or is it a setting I make on my ipad?

Hey Guys,
I had the exact same thing happen with my ipad air 2.
I will look into the EHD setting and see where it is.
The black out is really unnerving to say the least, almost panic if your quite a distance away.
