Just wanted to share my experience getting authorization to fly my Mavic in Fiji for our upcoming trip, as they have changed the form they use. still very easy to do.

send an email to CAAF (civi aviation authority of Fiji) at the following address requesting to fly your drone for personal use:

info@caaf.org.fj

they will send you back this form, or similar, they have changed this form in the last couple months twice... anyway fill it out, sign it and send it back, keep a copy with you and you are good to go.

Easy right?!

Remember to keep your batteries in a lipo safe bag when boarding the plane to Fiji, and make sure that you keep the batteries in the cabin with you, not in a checked bag. Once you arrive in Fiji if you have completed and submitted the form you will be good to go. When flying your drone be mindful of resort rules, as some resorts ban the flying of drones, and also of the local Fiji drone laws, which you can find here, https://www.uavsystemsinternational.com/drone-laws-by-country/fiji-drone-laws/
