When I try to upload the video I took from the spark. It will show all the video and will open them but will not let me export and when I try to edit the video in final cut it won't let me export because the file is linked to the sd card.
I have the same issue on Windows 10, but I just ignore the error message and my laptop imports the video anyway. Are you downloading from the AC, or just from the SD card? Not familiar with MACs, do they have a card slot?

I am downloading it from the sd card and my mac has a sd slot.

I have failed files ALL the time moving them from the SD card to my Mac. So now. Just transfer straight to phone and then airdrop the, to MacBook Pro.
wouldn't that only put the footage in 720p not 1080?
I don't have any issues downloading the footage/photos from the memory card on to my MacBook Pro or my iMac.
Also works fine plugging them into the Spark.
I use a card reader and take the micro sd card out of the spark, this card reader then plugs into the lightning port on iPhone/ipad and I can transfer the files to phone. When I try putting the card straight into my Macbook Pro, I have an error about 1 in 10 files. But that same file will play fine if I do it the other way.
