Micro SD card with U3 rating is your best bet.  Also if it WRITES (not reads) at greater than 60 Mbps.  I usually go fo 90 Mbps.  I also have a 4K Sony camcorder, Nikon Coolpix A900 camera that shoots 4k video, GoPro 4K, and of course the Mavic.  I get the U3 rating as it is specifically for 4K.  Note:  The "3" is in the "U".

I hope you meant 60 MB/s and 90 MB/s, rather than 60 Mbps and 90 Mbps.

I would say the Extreme Pro, its not a bad price and works excellent, it was the memory card I upgraded to from the included Lexar :   http://amzn.to/2uEfBZD

Yes sorry about that. 90 MBps at least as far as I am concerned.  Some of them say transfer speed ,they mean read and in the fine print say write will be slower.

I would say that a memory card with a write speed of 90 MB/s for the Mavic is total overkill.
DJI recommends this card with a write speed of 60 MB/s for the Mavic:

Yes, this card I brought is 100MB/s here: http://amzn.to/2vkugg4

It is overkill but compared to some others its not much more money than the lexar ones but it has one big advantage over a 60MB/s one being that transferring the footage from the drone to the computer will be 1.4X Quicker,

There is so much misinformation on these forums with requirements. Mostly due to the confusion with bits and bytes.

Its pretty simple, Make sure its U3 rated. THATS IT.

People who argue you need 90+MBps "Write" speeds are WRONG.  All you need is write speeds over 30MBps for the P4 or P4P

I picked up a Evo+ 64 gig card for mine. (Write 60MBps, remember the max video bitrate is 12.5MBps for the pro, 7.5MBps for the 4)

In my opinion, a suitable SD card is more important than the best. I still recommend this SD card: http://store.dji.com/product/san ... om=search-result-v2

In the DJI documentation it recommends a UHS-I, it doesn't sat what class. That to me suggests that the one you are actually recommending is overkill ;)

There is an argument that requiring a U3 is misinformation. This is in the Mavic forum, a 10MB/s U1 or Class 10 should do the job should it not?

10MB/s is borderline for the mavic yes class 10 will work fine,  U3 is mandatory for anything 4k/60fps but at least stops the debate of needing anything at 60-100MBps write speeds

I have to ask and I thought about this a bit.

64GB card will get you 100+ hrs at 4k /30fps 85m at 4k 60fps...

A battery is going to last 30m? =/ Why not just copy and clear on your next flight and save the money?

Overkill is good ! As I said I have this card http://amzn.to/2hOXyyA
And the card is too good for the Mavic however it improves transfer time between the drone and the computer, I can move everything off the card 10+ gig in around 1min, this took around 4 mins with the included lexar

How can it be borderline if the max write speed of the Mavic is 7.5MB/s?

I get that price is not an issue for everyone but I've adopted a 1 card/battery policy. Card changed at every battery change. 3 cards for £23 here in the UK.

Yes obviously transfer times are improved which is important for some people. It was more in relation to the wording used

Depends how you interpret I guess.

Quoting the DJI official P4P spec https://www.dji.com/phantom-4-pro/info it says -

SD Card: Write speed ≥15MB/s, Class 10 or UHS-1 rating required

How quick you want to get from the card to your computer is another question, one of personal preference.  But what's required is above.
