I got it from a rc hobby shop, before the latest update, I was flying it and the motor stopped and fell to the ground. I contacted the shop but the warranty was void because my drone fell to the ground.
That's when i file a report to DJI customer support. Upon checking, dji support informed me my drone was bought from the mainland CHINA and that cannot be covered by the DJI warranty unless i can provide a local china address right there. Now the help dji support can offer is to check my flight data for me, but the repair cost i will have to bear it my self even if the fault was not from me.

Kinda bummer, to know even owning an original DJI drone, doesn't entitle a warranty if the drone was sold by shops that got it from CHINA.

An expensive learning experience for me.   

What is the meaning of "unless i can provide a local china address right there"?
Do you need to get it to China and send it in from a local adress?
Or you need a bill from China?
I think, your RC shop is importing under the DJI radar, ok.
But how can they void a warranty, which may have happened because of a warranty malfunction?

The warranty is, unless a worldwide one, a very local thing, thats true.
But that "only" means you have to get it to China, right?
Dont you know some Main-Land Chinese People?

Or isn't the RC Shop somehow connected and wanna keep customers?

I would probably not buy there again, methinks

Here's an idea. Maybe we should all remove the props, add tires to the spark and use it as an RC Car.

Ok. And does it madder that I did not check that I will be sending the RC in the Case (in returned parts)?

Mine as well took off when 150 m crashed landed cannot find it last for a week now  

Minecraft as well 150 m away 90 m high lost for a week now cannot find three months old

omg it hurts alot. reason why always check batteries in every fly.

Ouch hope this wont happen to me!
