Hi guys,
Are you curious if the manufacturing date relate to the mal-functioned Sparks?

If your Spark is not working as it is supposed to be, check the manufacture date here and see if there is any common?

Maybe is a trend?  Seems non issue sparks so far are what I would call “later production”

Am I reading this wrong, OP asked to get dates of manufacturing of sparks that are having problems, yet all we see are those reporting manufactured dates with no problems, so we see may June July & August with no problems. Where is this going.

Wednesday, May, 31st 2017 was the manufacture date for my spark. i have only had one issue after about 75-80 flights, the spark went in to atti mode and said it was going to pass a NFZ and tried to fly away. this was with OTG and was only the third time using OTG. i have never had any issues with the wifi.(OTG does give a better image transmission but until it is fully supported i will stick to wifi).

Well, this tells us manufacturing date has nothing to do with the cases.

Could it be that those whom have had their drone fall out to the sky used the joystick command and accidently shut off their motors mid flight?  Just a thought

That actually caught my attention in the auto mode...like tracking..dronie.
I believe you guys must agree with me that those not having any issues so far are those not using those modes too often..

if the joystick command to shut off engine is doable mid-flight.  DJI should disable this command if drone is move than 1m above ground.  Just my 2 cents.

CSC isn’t available with the virtual joysticks.

No, this could not be.

this actually is possible. if you pull both the sticks down on a 45 at the same time the motors shut off.

The virtual Joysticks like he mentioned? He was talking about the virtual ones? Or did I missunderstand him?

Apart from this the spark falls in all modes.. Pano, Sport, Hover and so on. So it can't be the CSC.

Sure, with the RC it is possible. But you have to hold the CSC for 1.5sec.
For me is the JOYstick the virtual one..maybe this was the misunderstanding.

Rok dont think it is a compass failure u just got a few errors move to a new spot and fly on....i got the very same errors 2 different flights had to fly in atti mode no biggie....was it alarming yes  but i got it back. Remember spark domt have any redundancies like 2 compasses or 2 gps just 1 each. So u are bound to get some interference and some errors here and there

I don't know if it is Spark or battery issue, but I am pretty it is not software.again, they have Phantom,Mavic,Inspire,Matrice,...flying on thr sky long before Spark,do you think it will take them that long to fix a software issue?
Not to mention,if it is software, they should have released fix long time ago because it is easy for them to do so.

I think its the lack of redundancies when u have 2 compasses and 2 gps units u have more then double the chance of not getting an error. This is why my mavic stays in one spot like a flag pole and flying in the same spots no compass errors or imu heading errors. I just think the spark is more prone to these types of interference/ errors. So yes i think it is hardware. May e software can make it better reliable? As far as sparks falling i think thats batterys for sure

If it is hardware then i would most likely think its bad batteries , i don't think its hardware in the Aircraft, i believe other buggy problems maybe connected to devices being used by people there is a whole variety of different devices being used some on the recommended list some not some using android and some using iOS some older units and some newer devices.

if this was an aircraft hardware problem then it would have been recalled by now, as we can see from several different polls there have been falls in every month of manufacture so lets say 100,000 sold that means there is a possibility over time of 100,000 falling out of the sky, i don't think even dji would take a chance on that.

i think you will see with more software/firmware updates this will all settle down just as it did with Phantom Mavic and inspire.
