I've opened a case for a pilot error crash under my DJI Care. When others have had to do this have they returned the aircraft in the foam box it came in? Or what did you use?

Also, something on the paperwork states to return battery, why would they want that? It's the aircraft that's damaged?

I would recommend you send the drone in with the original package. Since the battery of Spark can be replaced under DJI Care Refresh, so it is recommended to send the battery in.
