Hi everyone! I'll be heading to Italy tomorrow - Milan, Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre, Capri, and Rome.

I'd like to know if each of the place is allowed legally to fly? I heard you can't fly in Venice and Florence (what a pity).

But what about the rest?

Thanks!

Or do it very quick, one way only , with someone who catches the drone on the other (HP there!) side! ;-)

The regulation prohibits the flight over the entire park, including sea. If you fly, do away with people and hide it. At your own risk

You need to be a licensed drone operator here in Italy. If they catch you flying ANYWHERE without a license (and insurance) you are in trouble.

good luck

for fun, u fly max H70 D200 - no over city no over peoples, Only in uninhabited areas ...

You can fly at 50mt from the people.

Only drones up to 300grams can fly to town, but with prot. On the propellers. So the spark can not fly into town. 334g

I recommend you to visit Lake Garda

You mean the red circle is the radius we cant fly? How about Sienna? And for spark, do i really need insurance and registration to enter?

Here in Italy you need a license  for everything...even for picking mushrooms. I will not be surprised if they introduced one for breathing.

No, the red circles point to Milan and Venice ... he said that you are visiting these cities ... I just pointed out that in the middle there is Lake Garda.

Do not fly on any city with drones above the 300grams !!!! Venice is NFZ with sanctions up to 35,000 euros and the kidnapping of the drone. You do not have a license or insurance to fly for fun (in uninhabited areas!)

Noted . Thanks for clarification. Im just worried on the customs part if they will ask for insurance. Once in, looking at the places im going, i may not be able to use them. But would like to bring along just in case. I checked the warning zones, quite alot in Italy covering almost all of the places im going to. But ofc, ill bring my common sense along.

Was at customs at Milan. They didn't check my carry on so I guess it's all good to bring a drone in. So far I've been Milan and Venice, and both of them are no fly zones.

One guy flew his Mavic at the Rialto Bridge at Venice and the policemen came shortly after. Rly scary to fly here.

Had no problems with Phantom2 at Milano airport last year. But I flew only above my client's villa. Definitely better to fly from very quiet place, or from balcony/rooftop and not to fly in/near big cities...
