Has anyone purchased New DJI Charger Converte Rcharlance 5V 3A Android Plug Charging For DJI SPARK? This would be good way to keep flying out in the country and be charging extra battery at same time.

Just received this digital step-up transformer today.

Few comments:
- My external battery is Aukey PB-T10.  Transformer only work when I use QC 3.0 output (support 5V3A).  Standard 5V 2A output not able to start charging.
- Charging time is longer than original charager
- This transformer is quite hot when charging in progress.  I don't have thermometer on hand but it should about 50-70°C.

Basically is to the have the ability to charge SPARK batteries on the field. Can be useful if you don't have that many batteries in hand.

You should check the max output current for single port of your power bank.  "3.4A" may be sum of two port (2.4A + 1A) at the same time, but not able to reach 3A when only one port is used.

I looked on the device and paperwork that came with it and it says they are 5v/3.4a charging ports.  It's a Pocket Juice 10000 mAh Endurance.  So I hope they are both 3.4a.

It is useful to be able to charge a spent battery on the ground while at the same time flying spark

I have not had good luck with the rcharlance with 5v power pack. I bought a couple of new power packs that are QC3 that work kind of. I then bought a split USB cable when two cables combine for more current. that worked a little better, but some one noted it took a long time to charge the battery

My experience is the same....transformer gets hot and charging takes long. I have had better luck with a bigger power pack that has a 12 v outlet and use a 12v to spark adapter

I think the power juice has a combined 5v 3.4 amp out of two ports

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/332352791963

I bought one of these because DJI refuses to offer a 12-volt charger option. Haven't tried it yet.

I for one would love a DJI official car charger for my spark. I hope they release something over the next few months before my next big motorcycle trip.

I’m not holding my breath so I am very keen to hear peoples experiences with third party chargers (charge times, how hot the plug and batteries get when charging..ect), how people have managed on a week long road trip, just things like that.

I bought a similar one, but can only charge one battery plus the rc. It work very good and charges fairly fast
