I'd never heard of gsp until this thread... Just checked it out on YouTube.... One thing that looks a bit annoying is how the drone stops at each waypoint.. is this still the case with the latest version?

Anyway to have nice flowing non stop routes ? (I'd be using with a mavic)

YouTube movies about GSPro are outdated... GSPro does no longer stop at any waypoint if you use "curved corners"...

... in this movie I used normal corners...

With 40% off Litchi I could not miss the opportunity to add to my apps... once I have mastered manual flying.

Litchi is on sale right now for $14.99 USD so i bought it. Used my free Google Play Rewards money. so didn't cost me anything really. May never use it much but i will give it a try.

I would not buy it if they do not offer a short trial.

I use both.  Litchi is worth if for the 360 Panoramas (which is still does far better than DJI IMO).  The outstanding function for Litchi is pre-planned Waypoint modes.  This is far more feature rich than the DJI Version.  There is a steep learning curve but the functionality is great.  40% of Litchi past Balck Friday, well worth the payment.

I have Litchi, Autopilot and DJI Go4. Everyone says $20 for an app is high, but when you consider what you paid for your drone, come on... ;)  However, one of the best things about having the extra apps on my iPad is when new firmware won't play nice with the DJI Go app, or the app is acting wonky, I can switch to the alternate apps and still fly my drone and get the pictures/video I want. The waypoints and panos and other options are just extra, although being able to plan your mission on your laptop first and then just fly it when you get to the site is so much better on battery life than having to set your waypoints by flying them. But honestly, having a back-up app or two that works with my bird even when the official app has spazzed out on me is worth the price. I also have a P3P and the last firmware update caused a glitchy screen in DJI Go (original flavor is required), so I use Litchi for flying that. Let's face it - P3P isn't really supported by DJI anymore, but I have Litchi and Autopilot so I can still play with my older drone without issues. Spend the extra $20 to have a backup plan. It's worth it.

According to the dji GSP webpage, it is for the iPad.

The best shots will be made with a computer at the controls.  Litchi is simply better for waypoint missions, which is the intelligent flight mode I'll be using the most.

You can see the live feed on your computer with Litchi? Sorry I know nothing about that thing

No, sorry, I’m using the term ‘computer’ sloppily.  I meant to say ‘with litchi at the controls’....

Anyone know what the refund time for Litchi is? I want to try it since DJIGO does nothing but crash. I dont want to buy it though and go out and fly and have the same issue, and no refund.

Litchi for waypoints, GO 4 for everything else.

It doesn't seem that the GS Pro app works with Mavic Pro. Is this correct?

99.9% of my flying is done manually, so I don't see a benefit to spending money on an app for a different UI to see the same thing.

Okay, I see Mavic Pro listed in the app description. On some websites I was checking, it wasn't listed. Thanks again! I'll be trying this app very soon.

I change from litchi to dji go 4.1.22 mod version , FCC in europe!

Litchi claims to support "Collision Avoidance" AND "Active Collision Avoidance". I could not find the difference. Would somebody who knows explain ? if so thank you very much.

Collision Avoidance: Enables/disables collision avoidance. Mavic/Phantom 4/Inspire 2/Spark only.

Active Obstacle Avoidance: Enables/disables active obstacle avoidance. When enabled, and an obstacle is moving towards the aircraft, the aircraft will actively fly away from it. If while actively avoiding a moving obstacle, the aircraft detects another obstacle in its avoidance path, it will stop. Collision Avoidance must also be enabled. Mavic/Phantom 4 (Advanced/Pro)/Inspire 2/Spark only. iOS only.

I have both.
I was primary using Litchi for the VR googles.
Since I have now MOGO fordable cinematic googles I don't need Litchi anymore and have full HD FPV google experience with DJIGO4.

Litchi not available for mavic air neither is GO

Try curved waypoints with interpolate to a POI, you get a very smooth transitions in yaw with camera on the poi.

I take it the reason I could not find DJI Ground station in the app store is because it is only available for the ipad and not just the iphone?

Try this one in dji go, litchi setup takes 2 min for 23 waypoints, save at home and loaded in 20 sec.

I'm only using the DJI GO 4 app with my new Mavic Air - sounds like it's not supported by Autopilot or Litchi as yet, but i guess it will be at some stage. Still just mastering basic stuff, but might look at one of the other apps when they support the Air and i'm looking to try some waypoint stuff.

I like the way DJI GO 4 looks and is streamlined as compared to the Litchi App

I use both like many here. Each has their strong points and the cost of Litchi is minimal compared to the hardware itself. I planned a 31 point mission on my farm last night while sitting at my computer and will fly it later today to inspect some areas. Took just minutes and don't have to fly the mission to save it. The "relative to ground" feature and ability to manage the gimbal and rotation for each waypoint is great. I use the DJI Go4 app for all manual flying and when I want to use one of the flight modes like tracking. Both apps run solid on my iPad and never had a control problem. Just remember where the "cancel mission" button is and keep LOS until you know your mission planning is correct... human error is the main issue for either app.
