I purchased a Crystal Sky 5.5 a few days ago and its been re booting every few minutes whilst using it.
Today when using it for 2 minutes it powered of completely and couldnt be turned on again. I waited 30 minutes and then powered on but the display now has a white border and the whole display flickers.

I updated the latest firmware and the battery was fully charged.

Another Crystal Sky brick.

I'm having a similar issue with my 5.5.  It shut off during use and wouldn't boot back up for a lokg time.  When it did come back, the screen flickered.  Took some all mo video to capture the flickering.

Just a shot in the dark, but are you using the monitor in an environment that's too hot/cold?

Not my scenario.  I was sitting in a well tinted and air conditioned vehicle when my issues occurred.  I did note that the unit and/or battery got pretty hot very quickly.

To resolve this

Turn Crystalsky on then put into standby

Remove Battery and leave it sitting face up for 24 hours minimum somewhere safe.

After 24 hours you will see the screen begin to return to normal, It will take about a week in total for this to get back to normal but no lasting damage should happen.

I would also strongly advice the below after updating or receiving you Crystalsky

CrystalSky

I personally recommend the below for out the box setup, it's important you Update to the latest firmware.

1: After Initial setup factory reset by going into Settings, Backup & Reset, Factory Data Reset  then clicking Reset Device.

2: When it reboots reconnect CrystalSky to your wifi network (you will need to put the password in again) then go into Setting, then Update and click Check For Updates, the latest firmware is V02.02.08.01, let it update and reboot.

3:After the update has completed I strongly recommend performing the Factory Data Reset in step 1 again just to set the image back to default then you should be all good.

If I had to do this to ANY device I purchased I'd send it back for a refund.  unacceptable quality performance
