I hit 71mph with my I2 before the firmware changes.  Now I average 55-56mph.

Just teasing you Donnie I'm sure you have shown us this before, was that the I1? Mine was with the P3p! Windy day and it didn't make it back.

No, just more windy than I thought and when I turned going downwind it started really moving, As the matter of fact had to stop it or would have gone faster .

LOL , good one !!  I will never get the 747 speed thats for sure ! . The funny ( scary )  part is the speed was climbing  on the Inspire when I throttled back , I dont think the Aircraft can handle much more speed than that anyway .  I had a hard time getting the AC back to the Home point as the winds were so strong that day , I had to descend to just above the tree tops to get her home . It was a Knee knocker , praying to god moment for sure !!

Take the camera off, fly in atti mode downwind and I have heard flying with the gear down will increase your speed. I have also heard flying with the gear down will make it unstable and can cause it to tip over.

But what's the point in flying Inspire without camera? I need speed to follow racing cars and shoot them with the camera.

Did the others that have posted their results here are flying without camera too?

You asked "Any tips how to make it faster, 51mph at least?" you didn't say why you wanted to go faster.  I think you may have the wrong machine for the job, if you're feeling the need for speed you could try one of these.

The inspire is not a racing drone, why one will need to fly one without camera? That's so expensive for just flying around.

I flew mine without the camera when I did my commercial flight tests. Didn't need to take pictures and every time you fly, there is a risk of an accident, the camera is very vulnerable hanging underneath. When I was told that I had passed my tests, I let rip with the bird, just for fun. You're right, it's not a racing drone but many people fly for the fun of flying, sometimes trying to see how fast they can go.

Eagle Eye When going 93+ miles per hour it gets a little hard to keep in there !!  I guess I have Excitement issues ....

Just remember you need to make it back , so try to get speed on the return home leg of the trip .  So fight the winds on the way out  and ride them back.  It is a lot of fun in the right environment . Over water for example , just be careful you dont loose her.
