Fired up my phantom 4 pro plus yesterday and it gave me a message that there is a new update for the spark. Why is this coming up on my phantom controller??

I got it too.  Seems to be another bug.  I've tried all of the prompt choices in all of the combinations and nothing updated.  It hasn't affected the performance of flight/control.  To be clear, since the recent firmware debacle, it still sucks.  

I have yet to find a post that explains the spark update notice.  I'm just hunkered down waiting for the next firmware revision hoping it will go away.

I get it too... I pushed ignore... but it REALLY ought not come up on my P4P... I don't own a spark.... and it ought to know that.

I think there were bug fixes for the 4 series also on the update.

Yep I get it. The other is NFZ needs to be updated. I updated and it still keeps asking for them,.

A little late but is this what you're asking about?

Can you then tell if all our problems is due to we have been force flashed a FW for the Spark or ? ... ;-)

Pressed ignore or pressed i know ... next time it comes back even with no internet connection.

When i was reading it, my hair just began raising, as i has Asked i got the thought that all our Phantom problems could be due to a total wrong FW (for the Spark) has been pushed out.

Took the screenshot, pushed Ignore and i have not seen it again.

This notification will not affect anything, I know it is quite annoying, have forwarded it to our engineers, sorry for the inconvenience caused.

You may have a point there with FW. ;)
