Is anyone else having this issue? I never had it up until the last update. Will this be fixed via firmware or does my drone need repair?

I'm not seeing anything unusual -- can you add an arrow to the photo or circle the area in question?

Could you please upload an original image from the SD card to the Dropbox for analysis? I am not seeing anything unusual in this pic as well.

To the left, on the beach. I too saw something like this that I have not ever seen. Looked just like that, and the mavic was facing away from the sun..

That's a reflection of the sun.

The sun is behind me. The sun doesn’t reflect off plants.

Are you flying with the Bubble cover on?

Of course it does, otherwise you'd never see them. The question is the relative albedo of the object that's reflecting the sunlight, the angle of reflection and the relative diffusion of the reflection. And of course rain or dew adds reflectivity.

A clue is that the spot stays put when you pan while hovering, and moves with you as you head towards the river.

If it were something on your sensor or lens, it would always be in the same place, regardless of the position of the sun. Of course sensor dust presents as black anyway.

Bro, you can see the spot move onto the dirt and then the tree. Open your eyes.

What's your explanation for it not moving with the camera as you pan to the left? When you move toward the water with the sun at your back, you'd expect the reflection to move with you.

Think of it this way, if that were a shadow from an object behind and above you, would it behave the same way?

Doesn't look like a camera issue as Machina said it's not there when you Pan left.

Fly directly into that spot and when you get close, you will see mavic's shadow.  Because the sun is directly behind it...

Gotta agree. If it was a camera issue, it'd follow you when you pan. Appears to be sun reflection. Set up another test and when you see the spot, fly right toward it and see what happens.

Wrong!  If it didn't, you couldn't see them.  You see the same thing when flying in an airplane.  The problem is, you're looking directly opposite the sun.  If you flew directly down to that spot, you would see the drone's shadow as you got closer to it.   What you are seeing is perfectly normal.
By the way, if you don't believe us, ask a friend with a plane to take you flying on a sunny day (but not at mid-day).  Look opposite the direction of the sun and you will see the same thing with just your eyes.  Ever fly in an airline plane and look out the window?  Same thing.
