I guess if you had to do a lot of filming somewhere that would be stationary (200' radius) and had the ability to film for seriously long periods of time (broadcasting?).

This definitely isn't something for me ... But could come in handy at some sporting events maybe.

Although in fairness DJI were first to market with something similar althought theirs was a software based tether ...

for 9,000.00 i would just buy a bunch of battery, or a camera crane.  This just does not seem like it worst it for that much money.  I also could do the same thing with a power cord and rope.

There another thing is the further out you go the more weights that drone will pick up, not counting the drag.

Also with this cord under the drone it will interfere with the potion camera (speak from expiration, i did something slimier to mine durn a windy day.  the rope keep confusing the position camera when it past under it.)

You also have to care this and a generator with the drone, that a lot to care.

I would rework this idea to be around $500 or less.  I was working on a battery system for my drone to care a couple battery on each arm or close to the body.  just had not had time to work on it fully.

Wow. that's pretty cool and spendy at the same time. Do they route the video link to the ground too? You would eventually run out of SSD recording time    Wonder how long the motors will run before getting super hot?

Not something I would consider. This could be used for powerline inspection though

its not actually a tether its an unlimited power source but its got a 200' cord so no DJI didn't market it first

I think you may have missed the fact that I was having a laugh here and referencing the fact that the inspire 2 had decreased range due to dodgy firmware from DJI. The dodgy firmware being a "virtual tether". It was zero to do with this device. C'mon man, read between the lines, thats comedy gold
