So i have had my Phantom 2 and logged about a few hours and gotten the hang of all  functions and have recently upgraded to the Zenmuse H3-3d Gimbal for my Sj4000 cam.  I would like to upgrade  to a FPV and utilize a Tablet / Cellphone to View whats the camera sees.
So i have recently looked at a bunch of brands of FPV setups for the Phantom and Zenmuse. Blackmagic, ImmersionRC, Boscam, Fatshark for googles etc.  I dont mind using a monitor if i cant use my Tablet or Phone.
So im curious about realworld usability. How easy the UI  and install is. Obviously value is a mild factor.  but mor eor less reliability is the most important.

If you have pics of your setups please post and mention what the pros and cons are.

Please look at this FPV HUB kit instruction guide to understand how to get video to an external monitor or goggle system with your Phantom:

http://download.dji-innovations. ... ruction_v1.0_en.pdf

DJI Equipment you would need:

- AVL 58 Video transmitter/receiver
- FPV HUB
- (optional) iOSDmini for on screen display of flight data

Here is a list of dealers that should have stock of this equipment and much more:

http://www.dji.com/product/phantom-2/dealer

If you would like to use your camera with a mobile device, you can purchase the DJI Lightbridge. More information can be found here:

Just curious, you flew to 1400 feet just because the factory had preset that limit?  In Mount Airy, MD, USA?

Seems a little (around 1,000 feet) outside the factory setting to me too.

Now that I have seen the videos I have a question for the GoPro set up people (I am a Vision+ user).  The videos above show every little movement of the bird.  It was as if it has now "gimbal effect.  More like the camera is screwed to the phantom.  Is this correct?

You aren't suppose to fly above 400 feet from takeoff altitude.  You probably, in good faith, should go and set it to 400 ft.

I just installed the immersion RC 600mw transmitter w/mini IOsd. Got the 7 channel Black Pearl lcd screen, spironet antennas and patch antenna. Everything is working great. Have not tried it at great distances yet but has performed very well at 1/4 mile. They suggest using the 7 channel Black Pearl monitor with the immersion RC tx because the frequencies are more closely aligned than the 32 channel. I ordered my equipment from DPC. They are great people to work with and won't sell you something that's not compatible with what you are trying to do. I did have to open the shell on the bird to put in a supplied wire harness that came with the kit but I mounted everything on the bottom of the battery bay with heat resistant mounting tape.

Wait what?  In your original post I thought you said you had "the Zenmuse H3-3d Gimbal for my Sj4000 cam".  No?

And you say the stock, preset alt was 1,400 feet?  Sorry but I think it may not a real posting.

Good luck to you sir.

Why?   my phantom isn't meant for testing height limit flying in clouds  like some other do. I am not breaking any laws and im not within any No fly zones  Nor am I crashing into government buildings.  There is no need to reset my Phantom to 400 ft.

Only because the guidelines/limits in the US are max altitude of 400 ft. for RC aircraft as previously posted and you seem to feel comfortable ignoring.  Ignoring, I might add, at the expense of the rest of us who follow those guidelines.

Well I am somewhat comfortable flying above 400ft    not being ignorant  ..your opinion is welcome. and ill continue to fly my normal flights  Typical flights never exceed ill say an estimated 400 ft. as seen in my other videos.

Raybro   so you never have static issues or lines on your screen..
