Works this ipad good whit dji phantom 4 pro?

it is the one I am using ( also called iPad 5th gen), I got the 128 Gb, WiFi + Cell version and it works very well. Never had a problem.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what version it is from the info.  I know if its the original iPad or iPad2, it will not work.  3rd generation is o.k., but I've heard it is slow some times with the DJI Go app.

P.S.  you might need an adapter if it is the full size iPad:

Keith, it is what is called the 5th generation iPad. The iPad 4th generation has been put out of production  a long time ago, The others aren't called "iPad", but either iPad Mini  or iPad Air or iPad Pro, so a new "iPad" is only the 5th gen model, which has the same size as the iPad Air or the iPad Pro 9.7"

Got it.  then YES, it does work.  But again, the size might require the bracket extension I linked in my earlier video.  Originally, the Phantom 4 reomote only exntended far enough to fit the iPad MINI.  Enjoy!

We bought a couple of these 9.7 inch ipads after frustration with Samsung Tab2 not behaving with DJI, works fine so far with Go4 and 'just' fits onto the controllers, we're running standard phantom 4 and inspre 2 in a temperate climate.....

Yes, that device will work great. No bracket extension is necessary.

Mine fits well on the P4P RC bracket.

I think its the larger size iPads that require the extension bracket to be purchased. 9.7 should fit.

I'm using this model.. Just the function DRAW is not working, I can't draw in the screen the route.

This iPad has not been fully tested, please refer the above suggestion or test by your end before making the decision.

what are you flying with the iPad 5th gen?  I just flew using Draw on my iPad 5th gen and a P4P, and had no problems at all. It works exactly as it did with the iPad Air2 and also with the iPhone 5s.

ipad 2017 or 5th generation has a gpu co processor which 70% faster, I prefer this model to my ipad mini 4 which is getting sluggish as a result of the latest resource hungry version DJI Go4 app.
Also at 470 nits it's very bright , more than the mini4 at 415.

Also the larger screen area makes it so much easy to see the application and menus

Have purchased the new ipad iPad 5th gen. Can not se the map. Shows just an empty box.
Is it a seting?

Same size as my awesome iPad Air2 Cellular. No bracket extension is required.

Fits very snug, with only a couple of clicks to secure it...


I love the big screen, for ultimate camera view, and easy to read controls and user friendly parameters.

Surprising light, even after four consecutive intelligent flight packs worth of fun...

I have an Otterbox on my iPad, and I have to take it completely out of it's case.  Once I do, it fits perfectly.... I love it... Big screen, easy controls.  I couldn't be happier

does this happen with the aircraft and the RC both turned on? Maybe you just need to start the App after turning on both AC and RC, and caching the map... Anyway, no problems on my 5th gen.

Do you use the WIFI only version , or the WIFI/Cell version

My 5th gen 9.7" works well so far butn I have to remove the protective case I purchased for it if I want it to fit in the original holder. I may buy the extension so I don't need to remove the protective shell.

The  iPad 9.7 will fix thats what I use with my P4P.
