What third party insurance can I get covered for if I use my drone just for hobby taking photos etc..

Some people have found that their home owners insurance has liability coverage for drones. If yours doesn't you might try out the coverage from joining the Academy of Model Aeronautics. For $75 a year, the offer $2.5M in liability, $25K in medical and $1k fire insurance which covers drones.

State Farm does both Liability policies and Personal Articles Policies which cover the drone for damage. I work at a State Farm Agent's office in NJ fi you have questions on how the coverage works feel free to PM me.
