I have a IMAC 2011 with 4GB of RAM. I bought Final Cut Pro X but dont think my computer will be good enough to edit. Thoughts? Do I need to upgrade my system. My videos will be short in nature. Mostly for Youtube and FB stuff. Thanks for info.

It'll be fine if you generate proxy media.  Otherwise you may get some choppiness when moving the playhead.  More RAM wouldn't hurt, though.  You'd probably be fine with 8gb.

Just give it a go. Maybe the preview won't be as smooth as you are used and the rendering will take (much) more time but I think it will work.

Found a solution. Proxy file to edit then revert to original before I export. Temp fix that should work. Thanks
