Anyone know what the difference are so we can see quickly what kind of important information etc has been added?

- Tried Adobe to compare but the DJI files are password protected.

Would be good if there was a changelog in the manual - can't be expected to re-read it

Changes as best I can see:

Page 6 - Added mention of improvements of Platinum over standard.
Page 40 - Removed mention of downloading photos and videos via the Camera Data Port. It's now only for updating firmware.
Page 57 - Added details specific to Platinum (flight times and distances)

That's all I could see using an online comparison tool.

What online comparison tool is that - I was looking all morning and even installed adobe trial and couldn't get any of them to work

Took a little while to upload and compare, and some of the 'differences' really weren't, but overall it's simple enough to use.

As discussed above, the main modification is for Mavic Platinum. I would always recommend a beginner to look out for the user manual for several times.

Yes, I agree with you, but unfortunately not everybody takes the time to read manuals.
