Lake Krugloe is located on the Black Sea ridge at an altitude of 790 m, occupies a karst crater with a length of 241 m and a width of 123 m, developed in plaster-bearing strata of the Jurassic age.
The northern edge of the funnel rises steeply over the water level at a depth of 60 m, a thick layer of gypsum is exposed.
From the southern edge of the lake to the south stretches a dry hollow, from the northern edge to the north - a hollow with a chain of karstic funnels. It is possible that the karst processes are confined to the tectonic fault zone crossing the mountain ridge here. The maximum depth of the lake is 18 m. Fresh water, with a weak smell of hydrogen sulfide.
