Hello all, I am importing files directly form my mavic SD card into FCPX and i find that EXIF data is largely missing. Has anyone seen this? Do you have any tips to allow for import of EXIF data into Final Cut Pro X? Thanks very much.

Heck, I didn't even know you could embed EXIF data in a video file.

Fwiw, DJI has consistency issues with EXIF data in photos, for instance, altitude is reported differently for JPGS than for DNG, so I guess I wouldn't be terribly surprised if some video formats had EXIF and some didn't. Worth requesting as a feature-add for bug if, in fact, some vids do have EXIF.

And why do you care? main data is there: size, FPS, date, hour

What I would like to see in video exif files are the camera settings such as WB, shutter speed, ISO, EV,  F stop, sharpness, contrast, saturation, colour profile, video size, and fps.
What I have to do at the moment if I am testing different aspects of video, I have to turn on voice and say the settings I am using. At least that way when I play the video back on the ipad I know what settings were used.

Some of those are already in the exif info set, but for those missing, agreed.

What program did you use to display this info? also are you aware if the import technique matters? I am copying files directly from the sdxc card to my external hard drive.

I'm also copying the files directly from the MicroSD card to my iMac. I'm using a command-line tool called ExifTool: https://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/

Huh, doesn't look like ISO is one of the values captured.
