I bought an 128GB ScanDisk memory card for greater capacity. How do I format it? I have popped the card in and the drone flashes amber lights. I do not see anything on the ipad app showing a warning or what to do. Is this card too acceptable?

OK. Seems to format on its own, but no pictures stores in the DCIM folder. More testing needed or a fancy tip from the good folks in FORUM.

At the bottom of the 'Aircraft Status' menu (tap at the top of DJI Go 4 screen) there is the option to format SD card, similarly in the 'camera settings' menu.

Am I wrong, or is that size too big?

I use a 64gb micro sd card and find it perfect for my four flight batteries, recording at 4K. Awesome.


I only format my cards in the drone, never in my hp desktop computer.

DJI's cameras will only support SD cards up to 64 GB.

Not for a P4P, they didn't say, but indicates a P4A, I'd think the Advanced would have same parameters as a Pro...

Edit: 128 is the max, ref pg 45 v1.2
Just reviewed P4A manual v1.0 pg 45 states up to 128 is supported

Please make sure that the SD card you are using is one that is compatible with this aircraft. As stated before, you will need to format through the App.

Besides, just to verify, the files can be stored on the SD card, right? If so, could you please also provide us a screenshot of the image transmission interface with the SD card spec?
For the formatting, you can do it both on DJI GO 4 and the computer. DJI GO 4: connect the drone, camera settings, the third page, the choice on the last but one.
