Just wanted to say hello to you all.
I'm from holland,I'm 65 years old and I
never used a drone in my entire life.
So I bought the mavic 2 weeks ago,but
was'nt able to fly it yet because of
extremely bad weather.
Anyway..I'm awaithing a mount for it
to use my tablet with the controller.
Wish me luck with the mavic,because I
have been reading a lot of horror stories
about it,I just hope I have a good one.

People usually prefer to post the horrorible story for sympathy and assistance, but there are also many positive feedback.

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the drone life. You're going to love your Mavic Pro. Just start slow, watch a lot of tutorials and ask questions if you need help.

Congrats on the MP.  It's a fantastic piece of tech.  Learn as much as you can before taking the bird up in the air.  YouTube and the manual are your best bet.

It's just that I read so many stories about things going wrong.
I already watched a ton of video's at the tube.
But what scares me the most is the cam.

Anyway..only time will tell.

welcome aboard! shame about the weather bogging you down.   as for flying,  its not that hard to get the hang of it, you picked a great drone to start out with! its very friendly to beginners!...   i suggest sticking to "beginner mode"  when you first start until you understand the controls and how the drones handles things.  once you feel like you are ready you can switch out of beginner mode, and enjoy your drone to the fullest.

As others have posted, there are more positive experiences. I've had way more positive experiences than negative and the neg, I've been able to troubleshoot/resolve using the manual, YouTube and experienced members/mods right on here. Don't be swayed by the negative threads on here.

... welcome... don't read the horror stories, check you settings and go out and fly, preferably on a wide open space in beginners mode to get the hang of it. You can allways send me a private message in Dutch if you have urgent questions!
