Hey guys,
Im a newbie to the flamewheel series and all other ARTF kits. I am considering buying an f450 and extending the arms to make way for e600s and a 6s 8000mah bad boy. Through my calculations on various flight time calculators it says that I could get 39min flight time at 2.4kg. Does anyone have any experience or insight with any e600 setup?
Thanks,
Max

My e600 drone with stock propelers and weight 2.8kg for 20min fly drained about 5000mah from 8000mah so I suppose if you do not want to ruin your battery very fast something close to 25-28min is possible..

Ok awesome! is that a quad or hex? Is that the flight time in hover, normal, or acrobatic flying?

My setup is a quad at 2.7kg with 8000mah (added all up including camera, battery, frame, gimbal, etc) so if yours was 2.8kg with 5000mah, then mine could fly around 34 min with camera and gimbal!!!

I've been toying with this myself.  I was planning to build a second "longer armed" quad over the winter.  I was looking at the Aerial Mob extension arms...and they seem to replace the stock arms on the 450 just fine.  The price seems a little high, but likely worth it to get the efficiency needed to extend  and maximize flight time.
I do have a "heavy lift" kit on my setup (currently E300) that spreads the props out 6cm on each side (so technically I'm a 570 right now).  But I've been looking at the arm extensions below, and am thinking this might be a good way to make prop room for the future

I also use ecalc.ch for computing flight times / power draws etc.

ok thanks! glad to find that Im not the only person interested in this setup. Through my research i have found there is a cheaper option to the tbs arms, look up "rct800 arms" and they are f450 style s800 length for cheap! Just curious, what did your calculations estimate? Mine say 28 min at 3000g using 8000mah 6s, however that is with the battery fully drained, so we are looking more around 20-25 with cam and gimbal.
