And is it possible to fly your drone at gullfoss waterfalls , and take off on or nearby the parking ?

Im having to check weather every morning because it changes so much. But mostly rain unfortunately. I will have to come back here for sure since most of the views are hidden the fog. I wish u luck. I leave on 25th lol

Theres a sign by gulfoss sayin no drones idk if thats just from the parking lot.

So from the parking it should not be a problem? Or is that sign at the parking lot?

Anymore tips regarding drone spots ? Or having problems with people saying you cant drone here ?

i have seen two no drone signs so far they are located in the parking lot of kirkdunfell and gulfoss i have a spark so when i pulled it out people didnt really mind it not sure how they will react with a p4p.

Ah ok thanks , thats not too bad then . I will skipp droning gullfoss or maybe take off from a distance along the canyon. Otherwise plenty of otherwaterfalls. I have received a permitt for jokulsarlon lagoon

You needed a permit at jokulsarlon because your drone is heavier than 5kg? Im goin there friday i just want to nake sure I thought less than 5kg is good

Yes you need permitt as this is now within boundary of vatnajokull national park

Did you tell them its for research?was it hard to get

No just apply for it. Although you only get permission before 0830 am or after 1730 pm to use the drone

But is it busy and packed everywhere with tourists at the moment or a few here and there?

No just recreational but it says they need at least 7 days , but i had it within 2 days. Is it very busy with tourists and have you seen a lot of people with drones?

Bad news. I lost my drone. It crashed. Lost most of my drone footage.

Everytime i finished on 1 location filming , i swapp sd cards. And meanwhile i am driving to next location, or evening in hotel, incopy it to laptop and/or mobile drive. Just in case there is an accident , then at least i have the previous filmed footage. Maybe a tip for next time. . You couldnt retrieve the spark?

Nah man. Cliff was too high and river on between me and the drone. I can see it thats the painful part. I always fly line of sight. Im just glad no one waa close to the crash. I just lost 75 percent of my drone shots plus the chances of getting more. I got 3 more days here i was saving the best sights for last

Dammed, is there not a shop in reykjavic to buy a new one?

Whereabouts was the crash ?, then i try to find it with my drone next week  for you or is it inpossile to get anyway

Its on the other side of a waterfall man. Just be careful when you fly over hraunfalls. Ill upload a short video when i get back to the hotel. idk man mavic 2 might come out and idk this instance really scared me. i was literally 100 feet away from it and it went nuts. i was using rc too i used to use the cellphone only and it was fine

yup waited for 12 gps. magnet interferrence then went on atti mode
