Just got my Mavic and too lazy to read...Why does my Mavic stay in Beginner Mode, it IS TURNED OFF in the app. HELP

... make sure you are signed in on the app! Else Sign out and Sign in again when you have internet connection (just once)

It's on Main Controller Settings, needs to be shifted off when the drone is connecting with the app. But I recommend always reading the manual and the tutorials before really start a flight so you can be more familiar with the app and the control.
