In Inspire 2, the flight controller probe esc for motor data. It can detects prop type or prop loosing. This may be the same.

That is strange,  I put my batteries to my standard charger and it started to charge two batteries simultaneously!

i tried this before. The battery will charge simultaneously when your battery discharge after 10 days base on your setting.

I am on version .0900 and I noticed this on mine so not related to latest firmware.

Could somebody post their findings on the image quality? Especially compared to previous version (03.1000) which were know to overexpose images.

Just upgraded my Mavic and its controller to the latest firmware using DJI Assistant 2 V1.1.6 in Windows 10 with no problems, took it to a 20 minute test flight: app version 4.1.9 for Android worked as it did before.

Waiting for official word on latest version for android.

Announced version with quickshot is not available, we just got an older ios version.....

So do quick shots work with app version 4.1.9 on android?

I confirm this. Upgraded to latest firmware and in the android DJI Go app the quickshot feature is not available

I have no update issues and all my 3 batteries have update success.

Sorry for asking, but I upgraded to 01.04.0000 from .900 and I wasn't prompted to upgrade also my other two batteries, is this normal?

It seems like there was a battery update when I updated to 01.03.9000, but not when I updated to 01.4.0000. Guess the batteries aren't updated within every FW update.

updated via the latest Go App all good , In fact having now carried out at least four FW upgrades I have never had an issue with any, all using the App on a IPad 4 Mini

Okay, I've noticed some really weird happenings after upgrading to this firmware.

First of all, previous firmware version 01.03.1000 was rock solid for me (albeit only had the Mavic a week). Upgrading to DJI Go 4 v4.1.10 also went smoothly, and everything worked well (except QuickShot auto-record). Really didn't have a single issue at all.

However, after upgrading firmware of both the RC and the Mavic to V 01.04.0000, I've noticed a couple of strange things:

- Initially had to reset EXP/Yaw/etc settings after upgrading the firmware. The RC kept losing connection to the Mavic, and not saving the settings. Took 3 or 4 attempts, but then they took, and has held.
- The gimbal told me it was overloaded once. The guard had been removed/wasn't on, nothing was blocking the gimbal. Power off and on again, and it worked fine. Hasn't happened again.
- Turning on the Mavic is randomly sometimes changing the video recording settings to Auto instead of Manual. Doesn't happen everytime, but never happened with the previous firmware version. It isn't consistent, and there seems to be no pattern as to when it does it so I can't replicate it on demand.

Did FW upgrade yesterday, directly followed by iPad 4 Mini update to iOS 11...
Today did some flying, went home with three empty batteries ans a big smile on my face...
Just loving to fly the MP...

Nope, I tried upgrading all my batteries, but there was no prompt.  Don't think this was for batteries.

Upgrading other batteries then the one you use in your drone during upgrade had to be through the DJI Assistant. Otherwise, the DJI GO app won't warn you for it....

Not true, but sometimes it take the app a while to recognize the un-upgraded battery -- I got into the habit of restarting DJI Go 4 after switching batteries so it would more quickly run the version checks.

Batteries didn't seem to need updates this round.

Yeah this is really annoying.  None of my android devices are showing any available updates.   In fact, one of them just updated today to 4.1.9.   I tried the uninstalling/reinstalling thing, installing from DJI's website, etc...no difference.   The interesting thing is that if I just log onto Google Play with my computer, the app says the latest update is Sept 19.  On my android devices, Google Play says Sept 13.   Come on DJI - how about at LEAST loading the latest version to your own freakin' website?   You only have 4.1.9 there, and in fact the paragraphs above it say 4.1.5!    Your software release process needs major work....

I feel your frustration, but as with any piece of software development for multiple platforms, there will be differences in when the versions for those platforms is ready.

At the end of the day, the plan from companies like DJI is normally to give the best experience to most people for as long as possible, so that normally involves releasing updates as they are ready, rather than sitting on them. That does create a small gap sometimes between platforms - and that can be for many reasons... Coding resources available, unique challenges on that platform to implement something, etc, etc...

As I say, I know it's frustrating --- but I think you're being a little unfair towards DJI here...

Hi, just after upgrading MP and RC you then have upgraded only the battery which is right in the aircraft. If you have more batteries you'll be prompted automatically to upgrade again when you put the new one, not upgraded yet, in the aircraft. It is recommended to go through these upgrades one by one in a place before flight, because it takes some time and energy. Better to give time at home than on the field.

Headache. Can't update. iPhone 5s. First the filed 'password' was greyed out. Seems you got to disable 'locations' in the software. Didn't recognize my password. New password by email, didn't recognize my mobile phone number to do this. Now for an hour: 'server error'. Can't login. Can't fly.

I had the same experience last night when trying to update with DJI Go 4 with failure to recognize password, resetting the password and then the server error message with my IPad Mini 2, which has been flawless for prior updates.  Finally got connected and at that point the update was fine.  Do note that you have to have the latest update of DJI Go 4 installed before you update.

Hi i upgraded to the latest firmware v01.04.000 before i read the relase notes and read that i need app v4.1.10 which i cannot get, so thought it safer to downgrade back to v01.03.1000
so my question,  has anyone upgraged to the latest firmware and flown there drown on v4.1.9

After upgraded to latest firmware date of Sept 19th, 2017 - V01.04.000 to both aircraft and controller.  I got the message on the controller stated "Can not take off" - I tapped this message and it shown Firmware unmatched. Called DJI.  They told me to go back to DJI assistant2 to downgrade back to revision V01,03.00 to both RC and aircraft.  After downgraded.  I still got the messages of Can not take off, Firmware unmatched.   HELP is need here.  PLEASE DONT UPGRADE to latest V01.04.000 - Meanwhile, I need HELP to resolve this issue

I had the same issue, after upgrading the RC with assistant and having a "successful" message, I tried to plug it again and was prompt to upgrade... Even though in the info of the app I could see the latest version installed.
So I tried to downgrade and upgrade again, then it was apparently successful.

But the can not take off, firmware unmatched was still showing.

Then I upgraded the no fly zones and now it seems to be working.

I didn't fly yet as it's night time but I was able to start the motors and I have no warning messages...

So maybe just try to update your no fly zones

Downgraded to Factory.
Re-booth both aircraft and controller.
Upgraded to V01.04.000 to both.
Re-installed Android with "No Fly Zone"  (which original already installed)
Now able to fly.

I encountered the similar issue as you're.
After I upgraded MP and the controller to V01.04.000 - the controller stated "Can Not Take Off"
checked .. firmware unmatched.
Android rev. 4.1.9
Updated the "No Fly Zone" - still got the same issue.  Can Not Take Off.
went back to DJI Assistant 2 - down graded back to factory.
Rebooted both MP and controller.
Upgraded back to V01.04.000
Upgraded Android again to No Fly Zone.
Now, the MP is able to fly.
Here is my latest firmware of both MP and controller - V01.04.000
Android 4.1.9 - with No Fly Zone.

When a new software/Firmware is required for flight, is there an option through having a DJI account to get an email stating that a software upgrade is needed?  I have a tight schedule and when I have a few minutes to fly my copter it would be nice to do so without finding out on power up that I need to do a 30 minute software update.  Thank you.

Upgrades can be postponed. They are not mandatory to fly
