Help!  Yesterday all was well, but today there is massive video lag say 5 secs, and complete picture break up on phone and tablet at a few feet away before take off which is now not possible.
When rc is removed, wifi to device picture  is ok but very poor range,  only a few metres.
Now useless,not aware of update being done, but I gather there's one imminent?
Spark now useless.

Bluetooth switched on? This can cause major problems like lag and disconnects

also I've found that rebooting your device (phone or tablet) have fixed issues for me in the past.  Secondly, as stated by LeChuck71 try to disable 'bluetooth'

Thanks for help. No bluetooth on. Phone in aeroplane mode. No change from yesterday in fact.

Check what version of the app did you have....Maybe the app auto update today they release new version of dji go app in android and ios which in android is totally garbage with lag and image transmit ion problems...

Thaks for info. I knew there was imminent update. How do I establish the software level currently  on my go4 app please? Sounds like this is most likely cause of my problem.

Found it. 4.1.9 is my level.

Well uninstalled apps from phone and tablet. Phone now seems ok, but tablet still useless. Max height and distance resets to zero every  time it's launched. Seems corruption has got me.

Looks that way. But 4 1 10 is perhaps the new update pending?
I have been I think on 4 1 9 which has been reasonable till today.
But as you say apple might be a better solution. At present I can't use it at all.

since the last fw update the Video transmission is very laggy on 2.4ghz, try iPhone 6+, mi note 3, and ipad mini 3..forget it. hope the new update will solve this Problem.

Mine was fine until yesterday.

New update must have been insalled I didn't know about. Samsung tablet now works perfectly with otg. It offers you auto opening of the app as sonn as you connect device. No wifi nvolved. Must be supporting it I assume.
Aso you cn now choose gps, vps or atti mode at will.
Still no use on wifi but not much loss to me.
Curiously still works on wifi with my motorola phone. Calibrating imu does not give green reading for gyro, so still guessing still guessing here. Also no choice to set wifi from rc to a/c to 2.4.

From whom are you  asking for date. Me or fans3bdf8dd2c3?
If it's me there is no flight data because I can't take off, because the lag is huge and the picture ripped apart.

Sorry for the late response. Did you try to change a mobile device?
Any error message from your app? Please ensure that your app and drone is the latest version.
If the problem still exists, can you provide a screenshot or a video about this situation.

Hello, yes app and device are running 4.1.9.
Motoraola phone fine, but tablet which was perfect give screen as in attached screenshot.

I just bought a Spark yesterday, but the video clip captured didn't look good at all.. Many distortions, couldn't watch the entire clips. Is using a mirco Sd card on the Spark, a must have?  In order to capture good quality videos, because I didn't use Sd card, video was stored in my phone after videoing using Spark.

You need an sd card for full quality. I think phone data is relly just for reviewing shots on the fly.

You should test the Google pixel line as well. Sometimes my videos would stop recording suddenly. App also crashes too. But other than that I've been flying good. Please add the Google Pixel line.

Please follow the advice in 25# and put SD card in it. The resolution of video will be higher in SD card. Thanks for understanding.

E_One, the latest version of DJI GO 4 is 4.1.11 and some new features will be supported by the new version of app. I would recommend you use the new one. Thanks for support.

TyronP, thanks for your attention, if you have more info, please share with us.

You guys should think of getting a performance phone to fly. Don't blame the App. I got myself the Mate 9 and no lag or app crashe. Previously using Nexus 6, I have App crashes. And I always have screen recording on too when flying. Huawei Mate 9 is highly recommended and its one of the DJI supported phone.

More than happy to cough up another 400 quid on the off chance it'll fix something that worked fine 3 weeks ago.

My country so far only has 4.1.9.. But yes, I tried it today and I have the same issues. Choppy video, constant black screen, almost impossible to fly.
No issues on 4.1.5 just yesterday..am gonna reinstall 4.1.5 again..the new version made things worse
