Today i had a strange problem with my spark..in about 1:45 minutes during 3rd flight at the same location, spark had lost all satelites, went into atti mode, and the first warning appeard on the screen.."Current RTH route will pass a No-Fly zone..."then the second..warning: Compass error..then the 3rd: in flight, working,IMU encountersheading exception, please switch to atti mode if the craft behave abnormally..then the last one..: weak GPS signal positional accuracy may be compromised..and all those warnings appeard almost at the same time..it was windy..about 27 km/h,and the spark started drifting at the direction of the wind of course..but the strange thing is that i gave full stick to bring it back and i had no response from the spark..then i switched to sport mode and immediately responded and came back..i am experience pilot,i know how things work..this is not a usual compass error..the whole thing lasted for 2-4 second, and if i didn't switched to sport mode which i don't know if that saved the spark,it will crashed at a wall.. also in the first flight i checked the compass readings in 3 spots over the flight route and it was close to 50-60.. i don't know if uploading the black box will help Dji to figure out the problem..

You said wind was at 27kph so pushing sticks it is not going to make up any ground if you trying to fight the wind.

You could upload your log to link below might give you a better understanding of what happened.

that sounds VERY SIMILAR to what recently happened w/mine! sent the Spark in for repair, & their diagnosis was a bad GPS receiver. i highly suggest you do the same. now following this thread w/great interest...

this is scary because if it is the gps reciever, it will happend again.. and i had 21 hours of flight in the spark with not a single problem before that..

Honestly, that's a lot of wind to ask of the little Spark.  What height and distance where you at?

honestly..my iphone said that it was 27 km/h..but judging for what i felt,it was ok for the spark, maybe it was not 27km/h.. i got the first high wind velocity warning, and then went off.. i was close..13m height and 22m distance when this happened..

Now this is a very interesting case with a very good desciption of what has happened and what was done! And definitely a case to be examined by DJI. Open a support ticket and upload all data to DJI for analysis would be my course of action.

Well that’s true, you would be able to see how much progress you made if any in PH logs. Good job you managed to save it.

This is exactly what happened to many Spark since Mandatory update. Strong wind created another problem but not as describe here. The message “current Roth route will pass no fly zone” was initiated by false gps reading. The compass error, happened mid air was due to either hardware false, probably by high temperature inside Spark, probably you had been taking video all along 2 batteries, or from firmware error that caused false warning, The “IMU encounter...” was possible caused by same reason as the compass error, high temp or few error. In previous cases, after “IMU ...” message, Spark did not response to RC.

should be interesting to find out what DJI has to say about the log.  Please submit your log to DJI for analysis.

Did you fly near the No-Fly Zone? Did your spark still work well now? Please export the flight data and upload to dropbox for us to analyze. Thanks.

I was faraway from any No-Fly Zone. After this accident I reset Spark to default factory settings and then reinstall last firmware. After this I flew one battery without any issue (on another place).

correct - there have been several instances of 'Weak GPS Signal' & 'Exit-P GPS Mode' errors where the drones all (mis)behaved almost the same exact way. i'm wondering if there was a batch of faulty GPS receivers in one (or several) manufacturing runs

I had exactly the same problem. Compass Error and immediately after that was the Spark out of control. He flew with high speed in the next three (no wind). Very dangerous for my family. Now the Spark stays since 12 days in the Repair-center in Netherlands. The support ignores completely the problem, didn't reads the Log-files and say no warranty, but you can pay 49.- € for a new one ( care Refresh). After my Veto I didn't received a qualified answer. I am desperately. I want go in one week in holydays and DJI leave out in the rain. Case number is CAS-965331-T5R9M2. Maybe a competent support staff read this. Please help me, please help me!!

From what Iʻm gathering from here and other threads where GPS goes haywire, should we all just go into Sport mode and high-tail it out to home when this malfunction happens? Iʻd attempted to practice in Atti mode for emergencies, but I donʻt know how to put it in that mode deliberately.

I checked the case for you. The analysis showed that the accident was not caused by users and we will repair it for free.
Please notice that we sent you email about this or you can check your spam.
Please wait patiently and your spark will be sent back after repair. Thanks for your support.

I noticed your RTH altitude was set at 50M on take off - were you connected to the remote via wireless WiFi or an OTG adaptor/cable?
