I've noticed the screen image of the P4 Standard shifts between the Still camera (Which is less sharp.) verses the Movie Camera (Which is sharper.) on the iPad Air 2 screen.

Since the camera does not focus and is permanently set, any reason why this is occurring?  It seems to have dropped in with GO 4 someplace.

Two screen captures:  Sharper ruler is the Movie Camera (Top photo).  Less sharp ruler (Bottom photo) is the Still Camera.

Movie camera sharper.

Movie camera sharper.

Still camera less sharp.

Still camera less sharp.

It is not a case of focus shifting, as you have already identified, it cannot do that. It is screen image interpolation. The resolution for still photos and movies is quite different. The image that is transmitted back to the RC unit from the camera is not the full resolution that the camera can produce in either still or movie mode, and the Air 2 cannot handle them in its native screen mode, so they have to be made to fit by the DJI Go app, hence one is sharper than the other. If you were to repeat the exercise you have on screen and look at the images on the SD card in the aircraft, you would find they are both in focus and look a lot better than those screen shots.

Actually that is a good way of stating it. Bottom line, always check the files on the SD card.
