Why ask the question if you already made up your mind your only going to accept one answer. Dji have said all along that OTG was not fully tested or supported, you also purchased your spark in the full knowledge that RC to monitor was connected only by WiFi.
If you were already using OTG and it was working for you why are you so annoyed it took until now to outlaw it, you made a choice to use it because others told you to use it , I think maybe you should go back to those who told you to use it and give them an ear full about misleading you, because dji certainly didn’t.
You're right, I shouldn't be blaming them. It's a misunderstanding on my part.
I do get intermittent connection sometimes, now I'm not even sure whether they were OTG issues, or whether OTG wasn't used by my RC in the first place and the issues were wifi ones... I'll have to look more carefully at the indicators.
Anyway, it's an issue for me. in Israel the 5.8 wifi is restricted, I'm forced to used the 2.4 spectrum which is very narrow with lots of potential interference. an OTG connection, when working properly, is much more reliable. Also, every time before I fly I would have to change the settings on my phone so as not to search for an alternative wifi with internet connection, to prevent overheating and wasted battery power. big nuisance. |
