Dear Flyers,

My P4 taking photo with 50 pixels less than it is written in specification. It should 4000x3000 (12M), but my drone takes 4000x2250, whats going on?

Additionaly: my gimball is not leveled in horizontal, in photo and in camera mode too. I did auto calibrate gimball and IMU's without success. Can You help me?

Please select image size as 4:3 in Camera Settings.
For the second issue, have you tried to adjust Gimbal Roll?

Mindy,

Thank You for Your answer.
16:9 was set, what next?
I adjusted, but when I rotate in Yaw axis it is still not straight, it's weird.

Mindy,

Thank You for Your answer.

4:3 aspect is the full sized image, 16:9 aspect is a crop of the 4:3 hence the lower vertical resolution.

So should be set at 4:3 for the full 4000x3000.

You're right,
4/3 = 1.33(3), 4000x3000
16/9 = 1.77(7) = 4000x2250 ;)
Thanks,

but what about gimball level? aby ideas? should I reflash firmware etc.?

There might always be some slight error on horizon, which you should be able to adjust. A firmware re-flash and factory reset of 01.02.0602 'might' fix it. You could always record in 4k and after straightening horizon in editor render to 1080P.

What fixed the horizon level issue for me was the firmware update to 02.00.0106, BUT a significant number of people are reporting stability problems in flight (And many are not). There was also an issue when recording in 4k@30fps (recording stops, gimbal resets), which DJI are in the process of fixing (beta 02.00.0300).

So it may be prudent to hold back on the firmware update at present until the next release is verified.

I have a fairly reliable horizon but still keep the "adjust gimbal roll" control on screen during flight, along with camera grid, for ad hoc adjustment.

My P4 after update has also problem with stability of flight (hot motors, obstacle sensors not working etc.) so I decided to downgrade to 01.02.0602,
okay, I understand what for 'adjust gimball roll' is, but I think it should be correct after default calibration without any additional manually settings....

Keyboard shortcut for quick adjustment is to hold C2 operated, and while holding it operated adjust roll using right hand wheel. Saves messing about in menus.

Yep, I find this to be a more accurate and quicker way though, just keep the control open on the screen

Adjust the Gimbal Roll is a complementary feature, please try to adjust to see whether it is horizontal.
