This is my first test stock antenna range for this DJI Phantom 3 SE version, in this video am using iPad mini to run with the DJI Go app and i found inside the Go app under WiFi section it doesn't have option to let you choose 2.4G or 5G frequency but i try using Android devices it can be select, can DJI support team look for this issues please. later i will upload 2nd test by using Android devices here to show you that the DJI Go apps for android it can manual choose 2.4G or 5G WiFi frequency.
This SE version the range is much better than Standard version, the Standard version i do test with stock antenna at this same location only manage to getting about 5~600m distance but this SE version i manage to getting over 2,000m distance.
Stock Antenna Range Test #01 with running Ipad Mini (IOS 11).
Stock Antenna Range Test #02 Selected 5G WiFi with Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Android 6.0.1)
Stock Antenna Range Test #02 Selected 2.4G WiFi with Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Android 6.0.1)
This is very interesting and I'm impatient to watch your Android test. I'm experiencing some range problems with my SE and would like to know if changing from 5ghz to 2.4ghz can fix that. Interestingly, I'm using an iPad mini and the option to select the frequency appears, unlike yours.

Android version fly video is editing will share here soon.
Thank you, it was very informative. In the end there doesn't seem to be much difference between 2.4 and 5Ghz... perhaps it's good to be able to switch in case the interferences in a specific area are from a certain frequency (just like you would change your WiFi settings at home when your neighbours use the same channels...) but otherwise I'm not sure how useful it can be.
By the way I still don't understand why you don't have this option on iOS, because I do have it on iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 4.

Have you try on your IOS devices yet? Do have the option to switch between 2.4G or 5G inside the DJI Go Apps?
Hello Nelson - I just purchased the SE. I can only fly out to 500m and it tells me I have reached my max distance. I am not in the beginner mode - what's going on? The RC menu only gives me a max distance selection of 500m?
