... Or how not to!!! And avoid needing the services of your DJI Service Centre!

I thought I'd have a bit of fun outlining the 15 top mistakes people make when starting out or flying in general.
My first crash was, if there is such a thing, a controlled crash to make the point.  Hopefully you'll have a laugh and remember a few things not to do...

The main points are listed below:
Cheers
Ian

1. Flying Indoors
2. Flying Towards You (disorientation of controls)
3. Flying Backwards
4. Trees
5. Powerlines
6. Flying Too Far Away
7. GPS Loss
8. Flying too Low
9. RTH Altitude too Low
10. Flying round Obstacles
11. Pushing Battery to its limits
12. Critical Battery Autoland
13. Flying under Bridges
14. Being Distracted
15. Flying in Forests

**Additional suggestions made:
16. Bird Strike
17. Over confidence / showing off to mates

Open to suggestions for more ways!

Ian

That's hilarious!  It takes guts to intentionally crash your Mavic into a pine tree just for a video intro.  Entangled props and everything.

Yeah... I had the gimbal guard in place and long grass below, and chose my lower branches carefully
It sounded worse than it was

Should be required viewing for new drone pilots.  Thanks for putting this up.

Very informative, I agree with Paul_IA this should be required viewing for new drone pilots.  Thanks for sharing.

PS: I wish you would have came out with this before I lost my P4 under the bridge

Cheers fella!
Yeah, I did wonder if I was nuts doing the first crash. All fine though   Re batteries; just get yourself some spares; takes all the pressure away!

Great vid mate. Maybe over confidence should be added to the list and showing off to your friends too. Both of these can bite you in the butt when you least expect it to.

Thanks a lot. Great Video
Should be mandator watching for all of us.
I fact, I need to watch it at least once a month, so I don't forget.
In my short career as a MP pilot I can humbly say I have survived  several of you examples but didn't learn my lesson until I hit the power line, crashed and burned.
Again Thanks

Yep; everyone likes to show off their toy; just remember it's even worse when all your mates see you crash

Ow!  Poor fella!
I've made mistakes but do my best to learn from them... making the videos is actually a great way to get it to stick in my head!

Sorry to hear about your powerlines fella.... Happy flying

"Maybe over confidence should be added to the list"

Good point, that certainly could be a recipe for trouble.

@Wellsi, very good video, excellent interpretations.

Yes upvoting for the "over confidence". E.g. Zoom zoom in sports mode, can I brake in time? Poofz, crash boom bang...
