I got a solution for you guys. I have had the same problem with my iPhone 6s. I updated to iOS11 and since then, DJI GO4 APP did not connect to RC/drone anymore.
After hours of researching and thinking about the problem and even after contacting and discussing with DJI support, i found a solution by myself.
I wanted a clean fresh virgin installation of the iOS11 to be sure, that it is not the app, RC or drone itself.
So i went like this:
IMPORTANT: all the time i had the iPhone connected with the lighting cable to my Macbook.
- backing up the iPhone as it is
- resetting my iphone by going through Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase all date & content
- iPhone is restarting
- after restart i chose configuration as a NEW iPhone (on phone & in iTunes)
- then i clicked restore in iTunes (restore as a new iPhone)
- iTunes then loads the current iOS 11 Firmware and restores it on the iPhone
- iPhone restarting
- then again: choose configuration as a new phone (on Phone and in iTunes)
- during that i took no extra settings (no iCloud/Apple login or stuff like that, just connection to my wifi)
- then i downloaded the DJI GO 4 App from the App store using single login with my apple id
- DJI app installed and logged myself in
- DISCONNECTED the Phone from the USB cable
- powered up drone & RC, connected the phone --> tadaaa - works fine!!
- ok - disconnected everything / unpowered drone/RC
- CONNECTE the iPhone to iTunes again by using the USB cable
- then i clicked restore from backup (this time i used my old backup. The on ei made at the beginning of this procedure)D
- restroring from backup - iPhone restated
- powered up drone & RC, connected the phone --> tadaaa - works fine!!
Paralell to that i updated the firmware on drone and RC using Assistant 2 software from DJI.
So finally - my DJI GO 4 App works fine using iOS11. Took me 3 hours of procedure and 3 days of headaches.
I am from Germany. Please excuse any typing errors. |
