Hi, i got my new iPhone 8 yesterday. When using it with the Mavic remote the app won't connect. All other IOS devices are working properly.

I'm runnig the latest firmware on the remote and Mavic (v01.04.0000)

Do i have a faulty iPhone8 or do i have to wait for a remote-firmware or app-upgrade

Please try to refresh iOS 11 via iTunes to see if it works.

Well considering the iPhone 8 just came out it might not be compatible just yet although I'm pretty sure iOS 11 is the same on all phones not positive. Iphone 8 might have some differences

Same here. Got iphone 8 with ios 11 installed in. DISCONNECTED message all the time. Works with iOS 11 on iPhone6 and iPhone7 as well, but won't connect with iPhone 8+.

Im having the same problem with iPhone 8 also. Works fine with iPhone 7. I even tried updating the firmware to the 9.29 release ( Firmware: V 01.04.0000 ), but still not connecting to iPhone 8.

I went into the Apple Store to ask if they can try with another phone, but they refused. Apple Store website lists the Mavic as compatible with iPhone 8 and iPhone X: (under compatibility section). Was told it was a DJI Go 4 App (ie. software) problem.

Has anybody from DJI actually used Mavic + iPhone 8?

Considering from those having trouble with Mavic and iOS 11&Dji Go 4 4.1.11, it can be DJI Go 4.1.11 and iOS 11. Many solved by delete and reinstall the Go app together with cold reboot the iPhone.

Same here, New iPhone 8 not connecting. I've tried Reloading, Rebooting, Refreshing, Reinstalling, Reloading IOS11, Rebooting, Reloading DJI Go, Multiple times. Nothing.

Except for Mindy's reply, you can also please try to reinstall the app, reconnect the RC again. If the issue persists, try to unplug the side cable and use your original lightning cable with the bottom port. Let me know if it works. Thank you.

DJI must investigate this and issue an update of the DJI Go 4 app or a firmware update for the remote.

This problem will affect an increasing number of people as it will probably also exist on the iPhoneX.

Has anyone at DJI tried an iPhone 8 or 8 Plus? It would seem they would have the iPhone 8 hardware to test by now and report to us that they are working on an update. Of course I want the update so it would work but it would be nice if DJI stepped up and said it wasn't compatible yet.

in all fairness to DJI, their webpage does NOT list iPhone 8 (plus) as supported. However, apple's website does....

Fair enough, is doesn’t list in the specifications. This is more wat to expect, if the complete lineup of recent iPhones is present i expected the 8 would work just as easy, its not that different from a 7. Not blaming DJI in any way, they might be just as surprised is i am. Still hoping DJI wil fix this asap.

When I went into the Apple Store, they told me there is a different GPS chip, and that the DJI Go 4 app might need to be updated. So presumably there is some Apple APIs that changed for iPhone 8....

Issue was fixed today in iOS 11.01 update. My Mavic Pro now connects via the app on my iPhone 8 Plus.

11.01 update did NOT solve the problem with my iPhone 8.

I had been using my Mavic on my old iPhone 6 and just picked up the 8 Plus specifically with a larger screen for my Mavic and I can't get it to connect - USB port on the bottom of the RC or the micro USB lightning connector. I am on the Facebook forums and on this forum and I don't see anyone else complaining about it, what the heck?

Nope you are not the only one. I just got the Iphone 8+ yesterday with the IOS 11.1.2 and DJI go4 will not connect to my Mavic. Connects fine with my Ipad w/IOS 11.1.2. Hopefully someone will come up with a solution soon.

Same issue here, I have iphone 7 and iphone X with ios11.1.2 got the same issue, but my ipad pro 11.1.2 connects to the RC fine, all my Aircraft and RC are latest firmware (and I just noticed that even cannot downgrade the firmware from DJI Assistant 2 now), and DJI go 4 apps are also been latest version already, please help >.<

Can DJI chime in here? DJI Mindy? Thor?

iPhone 8, 256GB, iOS 11.1.2, DJI Go 4 v4.1.18(3018)

Above combination is not working for me. Same thing like others report. No connection.
If I just move the cable over to my iPad (running 10.3.3) with DJI Go4 v4.1.18 it connects immediately.

Connecting iPhone8 to Mavic via Wifi works.
Also connection iPhone8 to my Spark works. (via wifi or cable to spark controller)
Just iPhone8 to Mavic Pro via Controller and Cable does NOT work.

I suppose I should chime in, too...  I'm a new MPP owner, and I managed to log around 50 minutes with my Mavic and iphone 6. Then I did the upgrades...   Just as noted above, I put the latest DJI Go4 app and iOS 11.1.2 on my phone and it does not connect.  I have done full phone resets, I could not get an older iOS on the phone..  I also reinstalled the firmware on the drone plus remote, still no joy.  I tried the Wifi mode, and it went fine.  But i'm not interested in being limited to a few feet away for range.  

I also tried to connect using a couple of SDK apps..  They do not connect either, but they connected fine a couple days ago.  Standing by for a firmware update.

Good day all, I hope you can assist me. I have an iPad mini 4 which doesn't want to connect to my Phantom 4 pro v2.0 RC, it connects and show it is charging for 2 seconds and then disconnects. It doesn't even pick up the drone. The iOS is 14.6.
