I will stop investigating video & photos parameters.
I beleive it's only a matter of application's development, as for instance most of camera does it (i.e. P900)

If you have an iPad or a device that can take screen shot then record in 4k then take screen shots of the parts you like.. Some of the best pictures I've taken are screen shots taken from videos...

Like replies above, Mavic Pro doesn't support taking photos while recording. If you would like, you can make a screenshot while recording, but the resolution might not be that high, you can adjust the transmission res accordingly.

If you shoot in 4K you can use a video editing software to make stills of a desired frame with pretty good quality... just select the frame you want and export a .jpg file...

You can by "waypoint mission" and through whatever action you add.

as far as I know and did by the Litchi app.

Read about waypiont mission in DJI.

It will stop recording for2 seconds just for taking a picture and then restart recording. While editing you will have un noticeable (cuts) .
