Has anybody had any issues with the dampers under the Inspire that holds the camera mounting they are tracking. Do they need to be changed after X amount of hours?

Not me but it's been warm the entire time I've been shooting.   Have you been in the cold?  This might have an effect.

LOL, well it's not that then!  

Do they appear to have dried out then cracked, or more like stretched too far and tearing apart?

Well they are a life saver! Today I hit a cable holding a power pole straight, didn't even see it coming! The camera mounting plate was totally removed from the aircraft. The front ribbon cable remained on the gimbal and the rear one landed on the dirt road 20 feet away. All four rubber grommets were still attached. I plugged the ribbons back in and pulled the grommets through and everything worked fine! So the design is a good one!
