Was wondering what max speed everyone is getting.
The Spark specs mention 50kmh, I've been aroung 40kmh.
Now, that seems like quite the difference.
I'm sure the mod's will mention that perhaps a mouse fart was causing enough wind to slow it down.

So far to me...it seems the only place the Spark will perform up to spec, is in a vac sealed dome.

JonBon, please notice that the specs is tested without wind. The environment is an important element in flight. You may change a place without wind and have fly in sport mode. Have another try, I believe you can reach 50kmh.

My top speed is 48 km/h - with the propeller guards mounted :-)

54.7km here...always trying to find some nice down wind to help me out

You can't always trust speed values indicated in DJI GO. I got huge speed (79,4 km/h) during the flight with compass error issue.

You're also averaging almost 2 km per flight, and your longest was 7116!!!
That's a 3.6km return flight!!

How is the Spark calculating wind vectors...or is it.
I know it will tell you that there are strong winds, but does it know the velocity and direction.
It can be dead calm on the ground, but windy 50-90m up.
Where would I look in the flight log to see this information?

Got 52.2 Km/h

I got 51.6km/h without prop guards.  This was done on a day where the wind was low; no strong winds.

58 km/h 12 minutes flight with 7501 meters thees are my max values

55.6 km/h in an open field.

Just got 86.1km/h.

oh my record is 15min fly (yes it true land a 3%) 21 satellite  gps and 53.8km/h,max distance is 2540mt max km with one battery is 6494meters

I think, you need to check on the joy stick sensibility. And I got 56km/h so far. No hacks, only the right wind-/ flight direction and the right joystick position.

As S-e-ven mentioned above, that could be related to the joystick sensibility.
I had the same issue a few weeks ago (max. speed limited to approx. 40 km/h).
When my memory is good, you need to connect the aircraft directly to your phone (not to RC) to get acces to the joystick sensibility in the app. There you can put the setting to 100%.
When you reconnect the aircraft to the RC, you should reach at least 50 km/h under windless conditions.
But that's just what I remember. So I'm not sure.

32.4 MPH / 52.1 KPH - no prop guards in an open area with moderate to low wind @ 200' AGL.

I've been able to do 31.4 MPH or 50.5KPH with prop guards on.   Not sure if I was flying with the wind at my back.  My numbers on flight log 8 hr 59 min 193,602 ft for 88 flights.  Top distance 14,917 feet or 4.55 Km  Max altitude 400 feet.    The longest distance flow on a flight 14,917 feet included the max distance from the RC at 5,595 feet at 221 feet altitude.   Lunch time...I may go see if I can break my personal best...feeling highly motivated!!!

Okay took off the prop guards for an attempt to break my record OTG.  No where near max speed but was turned around when Spark was at 8,031 feet away from me which is 2.45 KM.  Didn't have any drop outs or warnings from the RC, turned around because I got to 64% battery and I was way closer to the other side of Port Susan than to my side.  The trip to that point took 4:41 and I was at 213 high at the time.  Clear line of site over open water.   Didn't get over 24 MPH this time and my forward stick was firewalled where I was Spark was flying about perpendicular to the wind, who knows what the wind was where Spark was..  After Spark got back I flew upwind and down wind and while I don't know the wind speed at that height the difference in max speed upwind and downwind was about 4mph.  I was able to get 26mph for a couple seconds flying with the wind and 22 mph against the wind. Time to recalibrate my controls I take it.  Total distance on that flight 21,790. in 13 minutes I landed in sport mode with 14% battery left.   

I got a top speed of 37.0 MPH

54.2 for me, I haven't really flown in wind much yet.  That was sport mode with the rc.

52.14 for me.  no wind at all

JonBon, when the speed of wind is over 6m/s, the app will have a warning and a high wind warning at the speed of 9.6m/s.
You can check through the flight record to see those information.

I must be doing something wrong.  I'm connecting the transmitter to my phone so I think I'm not using Wifi,  correct.  The fastest my Spark has gone when not in Sport mode is 8 or 9 miles per hour, both with and against light winds.  In Sport mode the top speed is recorded as 31.4 mph.  Do I not have something set correctly?

Well...thanks to those who replied above...I was able to get my spark up past up past 50kmh.
Although not mentioned in the manual, nor labeled in the settings (it is now on my wifes iPad,but not on my Samsug), is the joystick sensitivity....crank it up to full.
I can't believe this setting is not even labeled on my GO4

Probably could up that by 20-40 on some of our windy days.  Just might not get it back....  HAHA

Average speed is 54 km/h,, however best was 71 km/h,, must have had a tail wind,,
