Thanks for all your replies.  The French regulations and constraints on recreational drone flying limit the height AG to 50m in many areas, and ban overflying agglomerations.
SO hovering on the outskirts of the village at 50m was quite in order

It's interesting to see the farm livestock, right there, in such close proximity.

That's what I would refer to, as being quaint. Haha


I like it. Much more relaxed and quiet, than here, living next door to a high speed freeway...
