Hello all. I've had my drone for about 8 months now. Has worked fine up until about 2/3 months ago when i kept losing RC signal at about 30 metres. I've searched high and low for answers on here and other forums. I've reconnected the controller and also downgraded/upgraded firmware and numerous other things. I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and what they did to rectify it. Thanks

did you remember to log out off on the go app after update and log in again??

Yes I've done that a few times now

Did you try to uninstall and reinstall the app?

Yes I have also done that

Could be an antenna problem.  If it's still under warranty, send it back.  BTW, Is this happening at different locations?

I have to same issue with mine.

Not an antenna problem. I thought that. I replaced the antenna myself still had the same problem. Also the same at every location. Even took it abroad and still had the same problem

what firmware and app version

Firmware 1.9.20
App 3.1.15

I have downgraded firmware at times to try and get it to work. For example when I downgrade to 1.5.70 I kept getting a compass error. When I tried recalibrating it just said that it failed. So the drone was un-flyable. Then when I upgrade it the compass works fine, but keep losing RC signal. This is why I thought it was a problem with the firmware or perhaps my controller has different firmware than the main body. I'm not sure

Hello. I have the same problem with DJI Spark. I did't have any problems until today, But today, in the various flight attempts, the drone lost the signal at about 30 meters. The first time, the Spark returned to the starting point (home point), but in the following did not return. Now I can't fly. Thanks

Sorry to read your post. I would recommend you to send it in for fully diagnosis: http://www.dji.com/support?site=brandsite&from=nav.

I would be happy to send it in for repairs as it's still under warranty. Would they accept it even though I have swapped my RC antenna?

uhoh  that voids the warranty.

Just to clarify, did you out and into DJI, not just closing the app? There has been some confusion in various threads about closing the app vs logging in to DJI. Many have called opening and clsing the app logging in and out.

I've done both. Just not sure what action to take next

In this case it does not matter if he has logged in or not.
Apparently there still is some confusion of what happen if not logged into the app but for sure this would not cause loose of signal.

You say you have replaced the antenna, are you aware that you have antennas in both RC and AC, even more of them.
I assume when said in first post that you have reconnected that this is a re-linking of RC to AC?

Well i have the same problem.
My Phantom 3 Standard loses RC signal for a second and then reconnect again.
When flying strait at altitude above 35 - 40 meters it looks like that, drone fly strait and for just a half second stops at place and then continues fly straight again, and again signal falls after 2 - 3 meters of flight and again and again. On lower altitudes its ok till range about 200 m.  I have the newest firmware. I tried reconnect RC controller manually. But this did not heap. BTW Image is transmitted flawlessly.   Before some time ago i could fly up to 200m altitude and almost 1000m range.

Hi, I don't have the issue your speaking of, But I sent back my P3S for cracks under motor. She was under warranty. hmm.. don't know mftg. warranty. But instructions were to send AC, Controller and gimbil. I had attached dji device hardware to the  controller. The the return was that they sent back a newer AC, New controller, without the hole I drilled foe the device holder. And the device bracket was returned too. So I can re-drill the new one soon. When i order a range extender.

Hi, forgot to say the return experience was good. Fast turn around for me.

It's a pain. Still no luck on fixing.
