This is a simple trick how to smoothen out those little jitters from wind etc.

Hope you enjoy it!

A little addition:
1. Advanced -> crop less - smooth more = 100%
2. Subspace warp not always works correctly. Sometimes position+scale more effective and predictible, just to keep in mind.
3. Google RSMB

Good luck.  I don't see any difference at all between the two in comparison.

I cant see any difference either - both look jittery - similar to when 30fps is played in a 25fps timeline due to pulldown. Youtube says its 1920x1080@25FPS.

I cant see any difference either - both look choppy - similar to when 30fps is played in a 25fps timeline, or 30fps in a 23.976fps timeline due to pulldown conversion. Youtube says its 1920x1080@25FPS - the original isn't 30FPS is it?

I see the original actually looks to be 24 or 25fps (from the frame counter values) - not sure where the jitter is getting in.

30fps Capture card?

Yes, I'm from Europe. We have Pal and 25 fps is our default FPS.

And the jitters I'm talking about are not frame rate related but wind related. I'm talking about Movement inconsistencies. That Stabilization can help to remove

Look closely, the first one is a very good example of what types of little movements people leave in their drone videos. Looks unprofessional. With warp you can stabilize all those little movement inconsistencies.

They are very little, but they are there.

Look closely and compare.

<<<< I'm in Europe as well – 25fps is my default too.

The improvement is difficult to see because of puilldown jitter.
Im not convinced there isn't some local problem with Youtube display going on – I'll investigate

Ok.

But what I meant with the jitters and movement inconsitencies in video can be best observed in the first example with the castle.. look at that shot. This tutorial is abaout that difference. My mistake was to choose those two other shots... Because they were actually good without any stabilization.
For this tutorial I guess there had to be a bigger difference in shots so it can be really noticable.

But as I said. check out the difference in the first shot. when its stabilized and when not. Thats what I mean.

Thanks to your comments I noticed that the second and third example are not very good examples at all. Sorry about that. Still getting the hang of all this tutorial stuff.
Thanks for the engagement!

Working to improve with every video!

Thank you so much, everyone!

Yes - the first clip is a much better example. The 2nd and 3rd clips really don't show much difference.
In the 1st clip there is a horizontal wavering (particularly noticeable in the area to the left of the main tower) which is much reduced by the stabilization process.   For me however,  the jittering of objects on the sky line really catch my eye (the 4 small spikes on the church tower for example).  What was the shutter speed? it looks much faster than 1/50th (180 degrees at 25fps). I think that is what is doing it.

I had a nd16 on, but the sun was to strong And I had to use shutter 100. So thats that.

Thanks - a shutter speed of 1/100 (90 degrees at 25fps) should result in a blur of about 1/4 of the frame to frame movement.  I hope you don't mind but I have taken an area in a couple of consecutive frames to demonstrate what I mean:
As the camera pans at 1/100th there should be a blur of about 1/4 of the frame to frame movement - that would be about 1/4 of the distance from the pole to the side of the tower in the first frame - but I can't see much movement blur at all - it's reasonably crisp. That is what results in the apparent jitter to the eye.

Could you make that segment of the footage available so I can have a go at processing it in PP.

But those are not the jitters I was talking about

Im talking about camera movements. not frame rate and shutter speed inconsitencies. You are talking about that, but what this tutorial was about was cmaera movement inconsitencies.

I understand - but for me the jittering of the objects on the skyline is far worse than the inconsistency in camera movements - that's why I didn't notice the improvement in the first clip - I was too busy looking at the jittering on the skyline.  Just my perception I guess.
