Hey guys,

I have a Spark Combo with all firmware updates to date and batteries with about 15 charge cycles. After the mandatory update I'm seeing anomalous battery behavior: auto RTH at 60% and below 50ft AGL and under 60ft away. Batteries usually show around 10mins of available flight time. What's going on?

I have had this happen frequently lately. Red flag will pop up saying AC disconnected and after a few seconds RTH will kick in. Meanwhile, I can control the bird completely.
I have found that bumping the left stick in any direction seems to 'reconnect' the bird.

Annoying at the very least.

All the more rreason to stay within VLOS!!

Mine won't disconnect. I had connections problems too during the summer, when the RC would disconnect above 100Fish. But this isn't that.
I'm planning to return the batteries.

Refresh the firmware with all batteries - if this doesn't work then yeah - return the batteries

Refreshed the fw via the Assistant on the bird to same result. I didn't find a way to refresh battery firmware. Any tips? Thanks

Set up and turn everything on as you would normally over wifi (no cables/otg) - when at the go 4 home page (with the picture of the Spark) with everything connected - wait for about 30 seconds to a minute before tapping go fly - the app will pop up with an inconsistency and ask to update - this will update the battery firmware. Repeat this for every battery you have then calibrate the IMU. Also, is this happening with all of your batteries or just the one? If multiple then it may not be the batteries but the actual drone. The odd dud battery happens to all of us but the same problem with 2 or more indicates a hardware fault with the drone.

I'm not getting any inconsistency errors. Batteries are running on latest fw.

If you have refreshed the firmware on the drone this can sometimes cause an inconsistency with the batteries. If nothing pops up for each battery then, as I said, it needs sending back.

Did you get any error messages before the RTH? I would recommend reporting this case to our support and we will help to check what's going on. You can contact us on this page: http://www.dji.com/support.

I did, thanks. Not sure what the rep understood of my problem but I have a return label for the batteries.
I get no errors at all, all is fine, but around 60% on either battery I get a lo-batt warning and auto-RTH claiming there's not enough battery to return home. Drone was at 16m from home point, at 3m AGL, and had 5:34m (41%)  battery left on one of the occasions. This happens on every flight, I believe after the battery fw update.
What else can I do to help?

May I have your case number? I would recommend you export the data for analysis first, here is a video for your reference.

Hi there, our engineers had looked into the data you provided, but the data only showed the drone had started up, they were not the data which contained the issue you mentioned above. You might need to check again and provide the proper data for the analysis. Thank you.
