dear all,

after resetting of my iphone (7 plus, IOS 11) I newly installed DJI Go 4.

Connection between RC, GO 4 and Copter was not possible. the RC was somehow connected to the copter; I could move the gimbal with it.
The Go 4 could not connect, also not via new linking; at the linking dialog I only got 'linking?'; after starting at the GO 4 it immidiately moved back to 'linking?' I did never get the screen for selection between master and slave mode.

I upgraded the copter to the newest firmware with the newest DJI Assistant 2 (v1.1.6) yesterday.

no change. linking not possible.

Then I tried to upgrade the RC alone via the DJI Assistant.
after appox 2-3 min the upgrade froze at 60%; did not change for approx 30 min. then I switched of the RC.
After restart of the RC the DJI Assistant did not recognize the RC.
RC starts alone, but linking to the copter still not possible.

what to do?
where do I see the actual version of the firmware at the RC?

best regards,
Michael

Hello Michael,
I have similar problems, see my thread Mavic Pro. No connection from RC to AC

My questions are:
Do you see the live stream from the Mavic camera on your phone?
The DJI GO 4 shows 0 in the Maximum Altitude and you can not change it?

hello,

true.
I cannot see the live stream. (although I understood that, as I have no connection)
max altitude: same; I may enter some value, but, when I exit this screen this is reset to 0.

Michael,
I think that's another case then mine. The opposite one. My AC is faulty and RC is working.

Just to verify, could the mobile device recognizes the RC? If you can control the gimbal by RC, then I think it would be the connection between the RC and your phone. Had you tried to reinstall the app or refreshing your phone's firmware? I saw some posts said that when the iOS system upgraded to iOS 11, the connection became unable. But I had tried mine iPhone 7+, reinstall helps. Hope it also helps for you. If the problem persists, could you please try another mobile device to test if it is the phone's system issue or the RC's issue? Thank you so much.

And just to inform: I had some cable issues with mine 7+.
Others experienced  unstable connection  with the side cable.

So....you should try at the USB port! Maybe it solves your issue!.
Expect you could solve it as soon as possible.

change to full USB did not change anything.

connction from iphone via WIFI to the copter was also not possible.

BUT: test wise I used the iphone of my wife and with this the connection was immediately possible.

So - what to do with my iphone in order to get a connection with this?

A couple of days ago - ( about my 100 th flight or so ) was the first time that I ever had this same trouble of the app not connecting with the RC - I always use the micro connector on the side of the RC .

I tried everything for about 10 minutes - restart app - phone - RC - AC - and even used a different phone ...

Then I decided to try using the standard USB on the bottom of the RC . It was at that time that I got the familiar pop up dialog asking if I wanted the app to be default for the USB connection - then  It connected ...

After that I removed the standard USB cable and put back the micro to micro cable and everything was fine .

That is the only time I have ever had a problem like that ...

Good advice suggesting that they use alternate USB port !

BTW - I don't use any other drone apps .
