I thought it would be nice to have an extra clearance towards the ground and ordered me one of those shoe-sets. Well, it did not fit. I blamed it on just being cheap crap and sent it back to amazon. However I wanted some, so I ordered the ones from PolarPro. Which by the way are not easily to find in Germany. Guess what! They don't fit either. So I got the caliper out of my toolbox and there you have it: One Mavic-leg measures 9,35 mm, the one nothing fits on measures 9,85 mm. Half a Millimeter does not seem much, but on a device I paid 1.200 Euros for its a damned shame. So I guess I have to hone the right shoe out to make it fit.

If you run into the same issue, don't use any force on it, it will not fit.

Regards, Ingo

You definitely do not want to force any type of a set up. Please be careful on how you put those legs on as you do not want to void out the warranty. It also helps to make sure you are buying from the correct place that sells official DJI accessories.

The landing gear is not the problem, the Mavic is. Because one leg is bigger than the other one and probably out of tolerance. If there is such a thing at DJI...

... if the material the lading gear is a made of "softer" material you will, not notice a .5mm difference...  if it is made of hard material you will have a problem...

I use the landing gear almost every flight...

I bought the red ones from here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shockpro ... IC-Pro/152602907269
They fit nicely. Use them occasionally when I may need landing in grass, and will also be using for winter flight.

Have these on mine and they fit like a glove. Excellent clearance when landing on grass too.

Those are the ones I've tried first. Didn't get them on. Thats why I went for the four times more expensive ones with the same result. As I said: I have to custom-fit them on...

probably out of tolerance

0.50 mm is not a tolerance issue - must be a design feature.

BTW some landing gear are suspected in recent mid-air forced landings - due to detection by VPS - interpreted as being near ground when actually up 100 meters. :-)
